Van Dijk may miss Liverpool’s game at Molineux through an extended suspension. He was sent off at Newcastle and has served his one match ban. But due to comments he made to the referee and 4th official after receiving the red card he will likely be given another one game ban
The FA have also now completed a review of the penalty Wolves we’re not given at Old Trafford and made public the discussions that took place between the referee and VAR officials
Originally a penalty was not awarded because the clash between Onana and Kalajdzic was considered a normal collision that happens when the ball is crossed into the area and as it was Dawson who ended up heading the ball they didn’t think the collision affected the game. The VAR official felt it was worthy of a review but didn’t recommend that the ref should look at the screen.
They now accept that it wasn’t a normal collision between two players but a clash entirely caused by Onana. And although Dawson headed the ball Kalajdzic had been taken out of the game when the ball was still loose in the Utd area. And they say the referee should have been called to the pitchside tv screen to review.
So the decision has been concluded as wrong and Wolves have received an apolology

Being revealed that Wolves turned down an offer from top German side Leipzig for Hugo Bueno.
But the exits might not yet be over as a Saudi club has evidently enquired about Sarabia

And passport, don't forget the passport.
On the one hand it's nice to have 13 payers on International duty, but on the other hand, it doesn't help O'Neil prepare for a very tough game against Liverpool.
13 seems a lot? I would have thought about 10 at most.
Annoying Santi Bueno is away.
From the Wolves website:-
The first international period of the 2023/24 season will see 13 members of Gary O’Neil’s squad represent their countries over the next week.
Cunha and Santiago Bueno have to travel to South America
Lemina and Ait Nouri go to Africa
The remainder are in Europe. That’s Neto, Sa, Semedo, Toti, Doherty, Tom King
Fabio and Hugo Bueno have U21 call ups and for Bueno that will be his debut
Ironically Hwang plays for South Korea but will do the least travelling. They play Wales in Cardiff and Saudi Arabia at Newcastle
Ah, didn’t realise you were counting under 21’s. 👍
Sell Sarabia after his motm performance against Blackpool, are we mad?
Sarabia was a star against Blackpool and against Rennes. He will play his fair share of games over the season
Should defo keep him.
Good player, just not sure where he is best suited for us.

He’s best suited playing against poor opposition.
Sarabia seems best played behind the strikers on the right. Potentially a replacement for Nunes but depends where we play Bellegarde

Bar the odd half an hour now and again and against League 1 opposition he's been incredibly ineffective. Massively disappointing for me, but he does at least try.
Disagree about Sarabia. He’s a really talented player who can be an important squad player for us this season. Like Cunha he didn’t produce his best last season but I think will come good when given the chance
Wolves evidently made a bid for Salernitana striker Boulaye Dia on deadline day on a loan with an option to buy deal. The transfer wasn’t completed and Salernitana have now fined the player who had indicated he wanted the move and then refused to play in their next game when it didn’t go through

Glad that deal didn't go through. We don't want that "sort" at Wolves.
Santiago Bueno had not played for Girona this season prior to his move to Wolves because of a thigh injury. He has now been removed from the Uruguay squad for this week’s games for the same reason. Guess he will not be available for Wolves just yet
Dexter Lembikisa already getting rave reviews for his performances on loan at Rotherham and he scored a fabulous goal for them at the weekend. They’re already praying Wolves don’t recall him mid season
Dexter's in the Jamaica squad for their upcoming games against Honduras and Haiti. First game tonight.
