Idk why people keep saying that, I hate the priiick. I would have voted for Biden first time around (even though I knew he would be a disaster) just so we didn’t have to suffer 4 more years of Trump. But his tenure as president has been so bad that there’s a real possibility that will happen
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But it hasn’t been a bad tenure. He’s actually been a very solid president for 4 years. Certainly more than Trump was and the mid terms in the US showed they’re more than happy with how the Dems are going.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah. The best economic numbers in the world.
Lowest unemployment numbers ever.

TRUMP CALLS ON ISRAEL TO END WAR ~ SAYS ANTISEMITISM IS CAUSED BY ISRAELI BEHAVIOUR
In Trump's first interview dedicated to the Gaza war, Trump called on Israel to "finish up" the war in Gaza because it is "losing a lot of the world"
When asked how he would deal with the "wave of antisemitism" since the start of the war, Trump seemed to blame Israel's own behaviour:
"Well, that's because you fought back. And I think Israel made a very big mistake. I wanted to call [Israel] and say don't do it. These photos and shots. I mean, moving shots of bombs being dropped into buildings in Gaza
Go and do what you have to do. But you don't do that. And I think that's one of the reasons that there has been a lot of kickback. If people didn't see that, every single night I've watched every single one of those."
Even Trump, one of the most Zionist presidents ever, is apparently disgusted by the footage coming out of Gaza.
Keep in mind that according to the Jewish lobby, and the IHRA definition of antisemitism now passed as law in multiple states, saying antisemitism can ever be caused by Jewish behaviour is itself antisemitic.
Trump also spoke positively about the enormous influence of the Israel lobby, but warned their reputation is now "in ruin":
"Some 15 years ago, Israel had the strongest lobby. If you were a politician, you couldn't say anything bad about Israel, that would be like the end of your political career
Israel has to get better with the promotional and with the public relations, because right now they're in ruin."
It looks like Trump has just committed political suicide. Let’s see who wins the next election now.
Israel has to get better with the promotional and with the public relations, because right now they're in ruin."

Did he manage to keep a straight face whilst saying this?
Even Trump, one of the most Zionist presidents ever, is apparently disgusted by the footage coming out of Gaza.

This is the first thing he's done or said that actually helps his chances of winning this election.
Have to say I'm just a tad surprised he's decided to go this direction. Honestly can't remember the last time I agreed with anything he said, but he's said some truths here that other politicians would never dare to say.
Only Trump can do this. If someone like Corbyn tried this he'd be very burnt toast.

Into which we can count anyone on this forum who takes at face value any expression of sympathy for Palestinians from the former president who tried to ban all Muslims from entering the States, who has consistently talked about brown skinned people in dehumanising language, who has previously urged Netanyahu to go harder on Gaza, who questioned the longstanding military doctrine of not using nuclear weapons except in case of a retaliatory strike, and who has a thousand times brazenly said whatever he thinks is useful to him at the given moment.
Eh well yea obviously, he’s a populist and say what he needs to say to get votes.
The funny thing is, though, you all said standing up to Israel is political suicide but when Trump does it, it helps him?
It’s crazy how a guy with Trump’s power and influence can go on Israeli television and tell them to stop committing a genocide and still get criticised by people who ‘seemingly’ also want the genocide to stop

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course it helps him, otherwise he wouldn't have done it. It's because his support base don't care what he says which makes him special among politicians. Like he claimed to be responsible for the vaccine which his supporters say is a biology weapon or some sheet like that and he still didn't lose their support. He's done so many things that would make other politicians lose support and he knows it, so this isn't a big deal to him.
However, he knows saying these things has the potentially to make some democrats switch sides or the undecided vote to fall more in his favour. He has nothing to lose and all to gain.
I'm in favour of any public statement the might contribute to put an end to the war on Palestine. That said, it does feel like Trump's merely reading the room.
https://news.gallup.com/poll/642695/majority-disapprove-israeli-action-gaza.aspx
Don't underestimate the level of emotion over Palestine. Democrats misread the situation and didn't prepare for all outcomes. They blindly and stoopidly backed Israel more than they should have and stuck to their guns as the number of dead went up everyday, showing no compassionate or remorse. Only recently they've realised how stoopid they look and are true to slightly change tact. If genocide Joe doesn't win then they only have themselves to blame and they'd deserve the loss for backing what's happened in Palestine.
The U.S. military and military-industrial complex have a massive influence on U.S. foreign policy. I don't think U.S. presidents are ever fully in control, but I'd reluctantly concede that Trump was easily the least hawkish Republican president in my lifetime.
