Worst signing has to be Tonali, no? Eight games for £65m
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Was thinking of doing a worst signing one.
Tonali is in with a shout purely on due diligence terms.
Caicedo is banter at that price, Lavia even worse, it’s hard to ignore Mount, Tielemans has completely flopped . Nkunku would be in the conversation for sure
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If it is judged on what they have done this season, and not taking into account what they may potentially achieve in their career, James Trafford has to be in contention. Been awful when I have seen him, way too much of a risk putting him into a newly promoted side.
Cameron Archer is another headscratcher at that price. Sheffield United didn't learn from Brewster. Again, may prove quality in the Championship next season and grow from there.
Kalvin Phillips is well on his way to usurping them all though, even on just a €7m loan deal.
Tom Davies and Rob Holding to Sheffield United and Crystal Palace stand-out as "what were they thinking" deals but the inexpensive nature of the transfers lets them off.

So he is immediately eliminated from any signing of the season in the prem debate …..weird
=====
I know, right. Imagine someone not signed this season not being included for a debate on players signed this season. Hard to understand that a player signed last season is not signing of this season. Can't get my head around players signed in other seasons not being the signing of this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Glad we agree 😂
It’s his first season in the prem though but tomato tamoto

All good shouts DJ, especially Trafford. For what looked like a massive personality for England he really looks to have crumbled at bit. Someone mentioned the Luton keeper I think and he’s exactly the opposite.
On the lesser known ones which teams you watch more often definitely plays a part in these threads, plus media exposure.
Bias answer but it is Declan Rice. He has had the biggest impact of any new signing and nobody is questioning his ridiculous transfer fee anymore apart from Baz
Also would put Palmer and Kudus above the other names mentioned in the OP

Him not being good enough so was loaned back out I read 😂…..it was a condition of the signing , nowt to do with not being good enough
Rice and Vicario for me anyway …..Rice is the new roy Keane , good for England he got that move
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He wasn’t signed this season so why would he be in the discussion. That being said even being signed this Summer he shouldn’t be in the discussion.
Udogie wasn’t signed this season, end of.
I’m throwing Elanga’s hat in. Five goals and seven assists, if Forest stay up then he’ll have played a huge part in it.
It’s also made all the sweeter by Antony being absolutely shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.
I was going to say Elanga too
Bit unfair to disqualify him for not being signed this season when he only started playing for them this season. Makes more sense to disqualify him for defending like a clown.
It would be like saying Saliba was signing of the season last season…which nobody has said
Saliba doesn’t defend like a clown either

Not really, Saliba had actually joined up with the club before playing last season. Udodgy hadn’t spent any time with Spurs until this season. Makes sense to include the season he’s actually with his club when judging.

Thing with excluding him from this season is you’d surely then have to allow him to be included in the actual season he was signed, when he was then playing in Italy.
The other option is to not include him at all which means signings who instantly go out on loan can ever be included in the discussion.

Not sure why all these clauses are trying to be added.
Doku at City - everytime he has played from the first game of the season has proven to be a pain against most the oppisition. Looks like he hit the ground running, really like him and seems to be quite a find for the money in this market
You have missed Mac Alister. He's been brilliant and only cost 35m.
1. Mac Alister - Best Liverpool player.
2. Barkley - Should be back in England team
3. Vicario - Good finding by Spurs
4. Rice - Type of players Arsenal lacked
5. Kudos - Would be in double figures if playing for a top team

Imagine if he was tearing it up it Italy last season and we tried to have him included in the "Signing of the Season" discussion last season....the response would be "he doesn't even play for you or in this league"
Including him or any similar signing in this seasons discussions is the far more logical approach, either that or exclude them all together, which also doesnt seem logical.

Interesting. He does "look" dangerous but from what I've seen doesn't actually create anything. He has 5 assists in the PL but I think 4 of those were in 1 game vs Bournemouth, weren't they?
Maybe Pep will refine him but he looks very raw to me.

I thought you said "add your own". If us Spurs fans consider him to be signing of the season given his actual date of arrival was this season, then that's up to us. Don't start playing Caesar if you're asking for people's opinions.
Some fellow Spurs fans are like an Udogie with a bone or boner for Destiny.
He has been good signing but there much better new signings in the league.
