The post split fixtures will be interesting.
I suppose Celtic going to Killie would be one of our best chances of them dropping points.
Think Celtic are in a bit of a different place now so dont really see that happening though.
sitting trying to work it out is interesting, heres what i have thus far
Assuming celtic, rangers, hearts, dundee, st mirren, and killie - 19 home games each.
celtic, rangers and hearts need 2, dundee, killie and st mirren need 3.
so on that basis rangers are going to have to go somewhere for a third time.
Killie will be able to get their 3 against teams they are due a home game against, so that leaves dundee or st mirren.
so rangers will have to go to dens or paisley again (likely paisley) and then hearts will have to go to whoever rangers don't play again.
I know I can't but if I could choose I'd like the OF game to be the first post split game.
Gets the biggest variable out the way and it's 4 games each against the best teams in the league.
Exciting stuff and probably what the split was intended for but rarely seen
if i am correctish
celtic play rangers & hearts at gome, dundee, killie, st mirren away.
rangers play dundee and killie at ibrox, celtic, hearts and st mirren away
hearts play rangers and st mirren at home, celtic dundee, and killie away
dundee play celtic, hearts, st mirren at home. rangers and killie away
killie , celtic hearts, dundee at home, rangers and st mirren away
st mirren - celtic, rangers killie at home, hearts and dundee away

Nope .... Celtic will only have TWO away games post-split.
If we have played 17 games then surely we only get 2 home games?

We've only played 15 at home to date, with St Mirren to come pre-split, making 16.
interesting, i've miscounted a league cup game or something somewhere then it seems.
that really messes with things, 4 teams due 3 home games.
Yeah Celtic get 3 home games, OF included. So someone going to be upset somewhere.
I don't know what I'd prefer in terms of fixture make up. Ultimately you have to play everyone anyway but I do think you want to avoid Rugby Park if possible. Both teams are capable of winning there as they have shown but its a real scrap for 3 points.

I'm only going by our league results to date per the Beeb website, and assuming that's right it's only 15 home games so far. Going into the last week of NOVEMBER we'd only played FOUR home league games, which is mental.
Send dundee to celtic park since their pitch is a schitheap.
But then u will get rangers fans complaining the had to play on it, and that goes into overdrive if they drop points.
As will it if we get the killie fixture swapped.
So watch st mirren take the hit

Killie and St Mirren away are the obvious games for the Tic's 2 away fixtures, as we've only been there once. If Hibs or 'Well make the top 6 then we'd be home to either and everyone's happy (as we've been to both twice already). It's Dundee making top 6 that fooks it slightly in terms of our fixtures, as we've only been there once, but as "last man into the top 6" and with them not having Europe to play for they'd be the obvious fall guys for having to go to CP 3 times ... or so you would think?

I dont think it is random when trying to resolve issues like potentially having a third away trip to the same place.
I think there are rules about actively trying not to advantage or disadvantage one team or another if there is tight competition eg. for the title or for a euro slot.
And in that case seeing Rangers and Celtic have both lost at Killie and Celtic have only been once and we have been twice I would imagine that Celtic will find themselves going there for a second time in the league.

People have been falling for the computer garbage for years.
If that was actually how it was done the whole thing would be done and dusted in nano seconds.
Bit of a tangent, but does anybody else think it's beyond stupid that tonight's CL QF ties kick-off at the same time? I've generally very little interest in the CL these days, BUT would make an exception for Arsenal/Bayern and Real Madrid/City ... except they both start at 8pm, so need to choose one. Bit daft for the premier club comp in football.
Celtic favourites for me given they have the last old firm game at home. I worry about the Dundee game too, even Clement is getting involved in the disruption talk now when he should be sticking to the "focused on the game plan" mantra. Just don't feel like the concentration will be there in that game.
