Evening all,

Hope you've all recovered from the recent elections and yesterday's match. It's tough following England, but they certainly are putting you through a roller coaster of a ride! I'm expecting us to get to the final after I saw who we'd be facing on the way.Espanna to give us our sternest test - given Southgate has got England playing in gear two maybe he's waiting for the final to put Saka at LWB, TAA at RWB and include Palmer. Time will tell.

On to transfers. Looks like we're getting our first dutch player in since....who was the last ?

Kenzo Goudmijn rumours building up over the weekend with some saying he's already had a medical. I do wonder if this will kill our prospects of getting Adams? Kenzo Goudmijn is considered as both a no.6 and no.8 style midfielder so if we are to get Adams in our first team midfield trio could look like : Osborn - Adams - Goudmijn

We're also linked with an Icelandic international who plays in Denmark but QPR and Preston are also linked with him

One trend I have noticed from the Euros is that quick throw ins seem to be the fashion. Hope we take notice. This idea that we wait for the designated throw in taker to take the throw never seemed to work for us. A throw in is a chance to regain possession, that is all. A long throw specialist can be justified if the throw in point is in the last quarter of the pitch but otherwise it’s best to take the throw quickly.

There was even a keeper taking a throw in the other day!

Sell on clauses for both Kellyman and Delap. Delap rumoured to be on his way to Ipswich for £20 million

Its reported we'll be getting £2 million and £1.5 million respectively for the two players.

Making more on sell clauses than we have on selling our players.

We definitely did the right thing not being held to ransom by Exeter over that Watkins feller.

Cardiff boss admits an offer is in for Adams and he was left out of a friendly due to a deal being close

posted on 11/7/24

"As far as I know we got an offer from Derby County but nothing is finalised, so until that moment Ebou Adams is still a Cardiff City player," explained Bulut.

"We didn't want to risk him [against Kidderminster] because we are close [to a deal] but in football you never know. Things may not get done, and today we didn't use him but tomorrow is another day, we never know."

It's a good job he's not been found guilty in the UK.

Every time I see Watkins play I sigh with despair. Did we choose to buy Waghorn instead? To think Steve Gibson sued us for preventing Boro signing Waghorn.

We struck lucky on Nugent instead.

Console yourself that Quantuma would have sold him for 50p and Hubba Bubba.

0-2 latest update
Yates scored

It is only Matlock but our latest double -barrell acquisition is getting some strong plaudits for his passing ability. I have him down as an Academy/U21 player....is he good enough for the first team squad? Time will tell.

I guess all you can really say about games like this is that it was a useful workout where all did well. The only quibble is that we could and should have scored more. The new Dutch lad was very neat and tidy and sprayed the ball around well albeit all with his right foot.

Provided there are no injuries then well done all and enjoy Spain!
