Twente sporting director Arnold Bruggink has confirmed the club are down the line on a move for Sam Lammers.

The Rangers striker spent last season, from January, on loan at Utrecht in the Eredivisie and the club hoped to bring him back on a permanent deal this summer. They were financially elbowed out of the running and that's when Twente swooped to make a deal happen.

Reports suggested this week that a potential €5million transfer was in the works for Lammers who hit 11 goals in the Netherlands and now Bruggink has admitted for the first time that his club are hoping to do business.

The former PSV and Hannover attacking midfielder said: "I'm not going to deny that we are working on him, but we're not there yet"

I don’t he was free mate.

I’m sure it was 1.2m plus add ons (which surely haven’t been met)
Due to him having 6 months on his contract. They run annually over there.


4m was the price quoted 6 months prior when Brighton sniffed around.

I’m convinced he was signed on that seedorf esque worldly he scored.


He was brought into the lounge to speak at a game last year in hospitality that I certainly didn’t pay for.
No grasp of English, was embarrassing. Adam Devine took the mic off him eventually as it was that awkward.

I know he’s been hit and miss and had injuries but I’m not sure there’s a better 10 in our league at unlocking a low block.

Replacing him with Kieran fooking Dowell and Lammers.

Good player for us at times. In the right team with legs around him could be a star imo.

So another day of seemingly fook all transfer activity on the ‘Tic front, other than Bernardo’s reported fee seems to be getting cheaper by the day …

Quite staggering that the season starts next weekend and we haven’t signed a single new outfield player. Even more so after the total sh1tshow of the 2 previous windows, and with CL money already secured. Deja Vu FC.
