So another day of seemingly fook all transfer activity on the ‘Tic front, other than Bernardo’s reported fee seems to be getting cheaper by the day …
“Paulo Bernardo will sign a five-year contract with Celtic after a fee of around £2.5m, with a significant sell-on clause, was agreed with Benfica for the 22-year-old midfielder who spent last season on loan in Glasgow. (Mais Futebol)“
Quite staggering that the season starts next weekend and we haven’t signed a single new outfield player. Even more so after the total sh1tshow of the 2 previous windows, and with CL money already secured. Deja Vu FC.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Waiting to see what Rangers do and what's the bare minimum you need to do in response.

That's precisely what the majority shareholders would expect. With the market recently cottoning onto the money in the bank approaching the market cap then the assets and goodwill were effectively in the balance sheet for nothing.
And the history.
Oh, wait, we're missing something here...

Sadly, yes. Also no doubt waiting to see how much we get for MOR. As in previous seasons, this reactive approach inevitably leads to us heading into Euro ties totally unprepared … and repeat.

Good.
If there's a starting CB coming into the club and they can fook off with John Souttar's big brother on loan. A proper starting CB that we buy for the next few seasons.
Schite if there's not.
FWIW i'll take the bigger Souttar on loan if we can shift Davies too.
Lammers deal agreed too
2.5m upfront with add-ons taking it to 4m, so 2.5m then
Rumours it will be the Shankland dough. Not sold on that one myself. Might do us domestically for a couple of years but he's gonna be no use in Europe.
Shankland worth what Hearts will settle for now? Not convinced at all

Hearts fans and Rangers fans think so
When I say Hearts fans and Rangers fans obviously they are the same thing
Don't know where all the bears are at other than sh.t shifting the high earners and bringing in loans. Think that is OK if baselines are needing reset though my perception of the ridiculous wages thrown at players was needed to get them to join the sh.tshow?
Let's face it, if you are a business you benchmark against your only competitors and it would not look pretty. 100% the right course for the longer term.
However, I said on here some years back (and was somewhat shot down for it) that should Celtic threaten the claimed major honours total or the league wins total that we would see fan scenes and behaviour that would put the notional '55' year to shame. I stand by that though the current fan mood appears to have already accepted it? I certainly don't. Only because we've seen these seismic shifts out of nowhere before.
The fiscal optics however don't look good. Lot of IFS but if the high earners are punted and if the big name loan signings are the focus it reeks of short-termism that a couple of trophies just staves off the inevitable?
Interesting times.

Question, why is Jack Butland wearing a Union Berlin strip
Our central defense is a nightmare
Nice goal by Lawrence, but Union defense were playing like ours
3-3 still in the first half. Defenses not on top
We scored 4, we lost t 4. Meh.
