Never read too much into pre-season results, but you would always rather win these games than get humped … and would always take any win against the likes of City & Chelsea, even if we’re further into our pre-season. Down side is Pistol will now be thinking we don’t need any reinforcements.

I know our problems are all relative, Fash.

Considering the utter sh1tshow of our previous 2 transfer windows, it’s frankly insane that we’re kicking off the new campaign with a weaker squad than last time. No outfield players signed yet, and missing both Idah and Bernardo whose situation is still in limbo.

If you look across at us, you can afford to be complacent and continue to look for another Hatate/O’Riley at cheap prices

If you were to sell either plus the big CL money this year do wonder if you’ll spend more than usual

Its quite frankly ridiculous we've not singed any outfield players. We never, ever build from a position of strength. So frustrating! All we needed were the two loan players back, a CB, LB and CF. with options on 1st ream ready players if/when Hatate or MoR left! Why do we allow the club to keep getting away with this! We have a really good team, would have been great to have new players on board to travel to the US and get to know their teammates better and see what Celtic is all about. We could even have gone into the the CL season with a bit of confidence!

Think it’s just lazy journalism and are Rangers really going to pay him reasonable money and deny that finance to help get a younger and more saleable prospect in the future?

Hence why I also think so many loans are just kicking the can down the road tbh. It’s like paying a huge rent instead of “owning” and developing your starter home.

Agree with most of that, but definitely not the "We have a really good team" bit. We really don't. We have ONE quality defender at the club (CCV), no DM worthy of the name, no "Jota quality" wingers (we're relying on Forrest FFS), and as it stands ONE decent striker (who had a pretty meh season last time). We're also about to punt MOR, and possibly Hatate. We're miles from being a good team IMO, never mind a really good one. Totally appreciate our financial limitations, and the difficulties of attracting quality to Scottish football, but feck me our recruitment is so amateurish in the main.

First i've seen it reported but possibly he has.

Can't see us actually signing him, would have been as well giving Ryan Jack another year if you were going to do that.
