I am not convinced the stadium issue is having a massive impact on the squad rebuild tbh.
If Rangers managed to get the bulk of the players out the door they would want to they would need to be looking at decent players with good potential, some with experience in the say £2-5m range;
- 2 centre backs
- 2 midfield players
- 1 Right winger
- 1 Centre forward
That would be an outlay of the best part of £20m.
The stadium debacle will likely cost rangers, what, a few million? I am not sure but I think our problems are far bigger than having to play a few games at Hampden.

They certainly are, but don’t think this stadium farce being just “a few million” isn’t going to have a significant impact because it most certainly is.
Rangers like any club have a budget every year and that budget will have flux. Celtic are an entirely different proposition altogether (that’s not a boast, just a fact) and I firmly believe they have the management infrastructure in place to plan things like this and allow contingencies far better and without crazy hiccups.
That “just a few million” will not be budgeted for other than the contract contingency which of course it will likely dwarf. Irrespective, the contingency will still be needed.
More worrying is that these payments will be immediate and phased through the construction works. It won’t be instalments similar to “buying” a player so it will also significantly affect cash flow.
That means Rangers spending budget will be drastically affected this season and likely next.

Those clubs have a mountain of cash to spend on a limited quota of foreign players, they're going to have their sights on far better players than the ones we're trying to punt. The Jota transfer was an aberration, not a benchmark.

No it won’t
We don’t even know the extent of the Hampden costs as there is no end date.
so many variables involved in that, a guy on SSB noted a few last night i hadn't even thought of, compensation to Queens park, daily rental of that massive crane.
Millions of pounds here. Not club crushing sums i'm sure but its got to come from somewhere and likely the transfer budget.
