I'm asking these questions because I geniunley think the lines are so blurred... and people really should talk openly.

I played for the Caribbean cricket team as a youngster, only white lad on the team..

It's tiresome that it's necessary to explain what racism is every time.

There's a difference between banter between countries, sometimes playing on stereotypes, and fixating on race. We live in a world where social and economic power is dominated by people of European heritage, and where people of African heritage are subject to widespread discrimination, occupy lower social status, reinforced by ideas and associations that have their roots in imperialism, slavery and ideological racism. Banter and even abuse between white-majority countries is relatively a conversation between equals. Fixating on players' African ethnicity (even if framed as humour) is part of a discourse that represents black people as inferior.

Why cut out the rest of my comment? You can clearly see it's a racist chant. Why are you blustering here?

This isn't really the bit I have a massive issue with anyway. Even though it's weird.

The song essentially says that black people can't be French because of the colour of their skin (and yes, this is exactly what they are saying - if you think otherwsie that is an entirely different matter altogether...)

Listen, I'm not white, and when people try to dictate to me that I'm not English despite being born and raised in this country - yes, I find it racist. Why shouldn't I?

Not sure if you're being deliberately obtuse, or you're REALLY this thick, but a song claiming that French players have Nigerian fathers and Cameroonian mothers and born in Angola, but their passport says French is really just saying that all those French players of African heritage (which is most of the team) are basically fake French people. It's pretty clearly racially derogatory. Many of you seem to want the only definition of racism to be a guy wearing a KKK costume with swastikas and screaming "nigg@, nigg@, nigg@"".
