An aggressive day where we push it to the limits.

Paraags words not mine he’s been saying it for years….

https://www.ninersnation.com/2017/6/1/15726116/paraag-marathe-49ers-free-agency-aggressive-flexibility-salary-cap-space

https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/football/leeds-united/paraag-marathe-on-being-aggressive-in-transfer-market-to-achieve-promotion-with-leeds-united-a-hands-on-role-and-a-daniel-farke-pledge-4222528

And remember he’s said we already have the money (before sales) to deal with everything:

“We are well capitalised from an investment standpoint. We have the funds that we need to do what we need to do. The reality of being in the Championship is that Profitability and Sustainability (P&S) plays a role. We also inherited a challenging situation, so naturally there are going to be some trade-offs. But also, we have a really good team, and it is not just about outs, but ins. We're looking at scouting possibilities and players that we can bring in. We will have to make some trade-offs because of P&S but we have the investment commitment to do what we need to do.“

So absolutely zero excuses this time.

Looks like Tanaka and Schmidt are a given. Another surprise signing would be nice. A Hamer or Sallai. Tanaka looks decent but id be a bit disappointed if we only end up with those two.

We need a statement signing

A little bit of inspiration certainly wouldn’t hurt!

Got a mate at Leeds Bradford Airport.

Said Messi got off a private plane, this morning 🤷🏻‍♂️

Being a Leeds supporter on Transfer Deadline day it is best that you come prepared with the most essential and often used item,....................

Graham Smyth:

Good morning. Tanaka done, Schmidt on the way to being done. Leeds United's expectation is currently just Schmidt but Farke's hint and the club's hope all week has been for another. We'll see.

Might be a long day. Pace yourself. Plenty of fluids.

If you believe what you read. Both Sallai and Hamer are wanting to join Leeds.

As with all things Leeds transfer-wise, I will believe it when I see it.

Looks like Schmidt can cover Firpo. Good.

Farke wanted Tanaka last summer. So I guess, good.

If Wober stays, good. No loan out crap on him. Buy. Bye.

If Gnonto stays, excellent.

Kinda hope baguette wrists has some interest.

And kinda hope Paddy unexpectedly retires.

Then we sign a body that can score.

Like most, feel we're still crying out for a #10.

Lose Meslier and who do we get? I heard Ramsdale mentioned which is laughable. We aint gonna attract a top gk whilst in the championship. We are better waiting until we are promoted and then getting a new gk in my opinion

posted on 30/8/24

Nothing wrong with Meslier, why would you want your keeper changing on last day of transfer window, its utter madness

posted on 30/8/24

How much would sell Meslier for Batty ?

I wouldn't. Not at today. Few weeks ago I would've
taken 15 mill and be laughing. He's okay for the Champ.
He's not good enough for a Prem team. But, we're
not a Prem team. As others have said many times,
he's good enough for this division. For me, he's just
a guy wearing gloves. Nothing special. Calamity prone.

And I was wishful thinking on Bamford.

No way he's getting off his personal gravy train.

posted on 30/8/24

So you dont rate him but want £15m for him 🤣🤣🤣

Whats changed your mind ? 20 Minutes ago, you wanted him gone 🤷🏻‍♂️

I know it won't happen, but, if we landed Hamer
you could count me as ecstatic and knee deep in
celebratory beer all weekend. 100 points,
undefeated, and Champions absolute dead cert.

Have a feeling that once the Japanese and Swiss lads are signed that's it for this window.

Deathly quiet on th'internet, not a rumour in sight - so if we have a statement signing coming, the club have kept it well under wraps ( which is ace if that is the case).

Wishful thinking. Same as on Bamford.

I don't rate him. At all. Flapper in a green shirt.
But there's bound to be a clown out there who
would pay 15 for him. Hell, there's a few on
here think he's great.

I'll give the 49ers one thing, they are tight lipped.
All the rumours we do here are coming out of other
clubs journos. Not ours. For PR purposes, they
could use a surprise signing. It would end the
window on a real positive for them. And the fans.

I mentioned last night that the barest minimum in squad strengthening will have been achieved with what looks like today the addition of AO and Schmidt.

I will be utterly flabbergasted and of course delighted if
we sign Hamer or Sallai as I just don't feel our owners
are genuinely trying to do so but if I'm wrong on that I will apologise and I'm still not 100% sure Gnonto won't leave before the day is over.

The financials that I have worked out are that the club since our painful Wembley defeat has brought in around £130 million in player sales which £30 million has had to balance the books and we've spent including the 2 new players expected today and loan fees for Solomon and Rothwell about £37 million so we can all see a significant inbalance in the clubs spending and what the owners have so far chosen not to strengthen us further with and comfortably afford us a key marquee signing that really blows the rest of the Championship clubs out of the park.

Anyway there is still time for this to happen but for me I
am not a fan of their brinksmanship and think they could
and should have not left things till the last minute.
