I’d be questioning his training methods.
Never hear Pep complaining about injuries even when he’s without de Bruyne for 2/3’s of a season.
It’s a squad game, and inability to cope with injuries is most definitely a stick with which to beat a manager. Let’s be honest, Hojlund and Mount are not world beaters; they shouldn’t be that difficult to replace.

I would think they have, of course a lot came in games.
It's fair to bring up injuries of course but they are part and parcel of the game too. Very rarely does a team have everyone available but it seems ETH needs that to get a tune out of this squad. I do hope you're right and we can come back after the international break firing. Knowing our luck though Ugarte will get injured.
Mu52 you keep mentioning mount as "first team". He has barely played for us.
Also Yoro injured, so, we still have de ligt and Martinez who are far more accomplished players than Yoro.
You are really clutching at straws I think.
Did you watch Brighton against arsenal the other day?
They lost their midfield due to injuries and had two 20 year olds in there, two absolute nobodies, dominating the game.
How is that possible? Because they're trained properly and know what they're doing.
You can only blame so much on personnel. Yes Ugarte probably would've been better than Casemiro, but he wouldn't have guaranteed that utd never lost possession in their own half, and your systematic defensive issues on possession loss are on the manager.

De Bruyne is one player. We had a full team out last year in total. It's most definitely a valid reason whey you have the number we had.
Nobody's talking about world class, but we had to play Zirkzee for his first full game and against Liverpool.
With either Mount or particularly Ugarte available I doubt Casemiro starts
Theres always a question mark over mentality at man utd. And imo when it comes to injuries mentality has a lot to do with it too. We've had players called out by Klopp about their mentality when it comes to injuries. Sturridge for example. When he said most players play through a lot of injuries and pain.
So it wouldnt surprise me if its a big factor to why so many for Utd are always out. Do they even want to play?

I don't keep mentioning Mount, but you have seen how good he is with the press this season.
I'm sure de Light will be good, how many games has he played with Martinez now? Oh, yesterday was the first.
No Shaw of course, but the odd oc6he is fit he's our best left back.
Yesterday imo was let down be the midfield and striker

The apologists are up this morning.
We've had 16 defeats now under ETH that have been 3-0 or bigger. 😂
The excuses are tiring now and are quite frankly ridiculous. You were wrong guys. We all were in fact but some of us just realised it a lot sooner than the rest.
A new manager is required and that's been obvious for a while. But because of the fiasco of the summer we probably can't sack him now even if we wanted to as it would look terrible on Jim and INEOS for not going with their gut instinct in the summer and succumbing to fan pressure.
No....we are going to have to endure another absolute S*** show season. Might get some temporary relief against Southampton but Palace away, Spurs home and Villa away will be a familiar tale for us.

That was why I mentioned Brighton's midfield
Two kids who have never played together before slotted right in and you wouldn't have known any difference.
Many top clubs have the ability to slot players into the team and have them do a job well.
SAF used to be a master at this. SAF had utility players who would walk into our first team (o shea, brown for example).
A good manager has second or third pick players that can come on the pitch and do well. If we lose our first pick players we are in absolute disarray. That is down to the manager.
It’s not EtHs job to manage the players, it’s not his fault.
Or bench yesterday says it all

When he has a normal number out we can even beat City
Of course he makes mistakes but his Dutch record his third place, a trophy and another final in his first season, another trophy in his second despite horrendous injuries tends to get overlooked by you and others, but never the losses.
