As it's been discussed today on radio...... surely this is anti competitive in itself. Who stands to benefit most by these associated sponsorship deals? City and Newcastle.
So it's only a problem when the odds are stacked against these nation owned clubs but now the opposite is true it's fine?
Football has made a real mess of itself hasn't it? 😂

So you don't see this ruling as slightly hypocritical? The very argument they are trying to make is that it was anti competitive against smaller clubs but City and Newcastle are fine if they can take advantage of something nobody else really can do?
You do see it Boris. You just choose to ignore it. The whole thing is a massive sham just like your entire club.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is still making absolutely no sense! What do you think they’ve actually ruled is anti competitive and for what reason?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It makes a lot of sense melts. It's going to make it easier for City and Newcastle to funnel in money which has absolutely nothing to do with your club to keep you at the top.
What am I missing here? City fans are absolutely buzzing with this news over the last 24 hours. It's got sweet FA to do with helping out other non elite clubs. It's because it's going to benefit them.
Or have I got that wrong?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What’s going to help city or Newcastle? The changes they need to make to the APT rules to make them lawful won’t change anything for those clubs really.
Yeah, strange since Omar was one of those instrumental in the commercial side of things whilst he was at City. Wouldn't he be implicated with the 115 charges?

I didn't trust him tbh. Think it's very weird the whole situation and I'd prefer someone from another club.
He's worked with Txiki for 15 years, he goes with him to City and tweets about how happy he is when United lose and now he's our CEO? Yeah I don't trust the guy one bit.
If you're found guilty and he gets his name dragged through the mud I genuinely couldn't care less if we have to get rid. I'd hope that we would.

It's a tough situation for lifelong fans to be put into to be fair. It's not reasonable to expect those fans to stop supporting their club, so at best they become slightly hypocritical while acknowledging the ownership situation isn't ideal. Then, at the worst end of the scale you have people like Boris.
Polystrettelene has always been on a downward spiral since his "Are you concerned" article, which is still active today. Even his board disrespects him on a near daily basis.
Mamba always face plants on off-field football topics so I don't think he cares.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The irony here being you clearly haven’t read the judgment or my first comment on this thread where I said both sides will be pleased with the outcome and you interpreting the whole thing (wrongly) due to your own point of view of what you want to see.
The judgment is out there, you don’t need to do it, you’re not that thick!
Both the deals that were challenged were set aside due to procedural issues. They will still need to be ratified and no challenge succeeded on FMV for them so it’s not as if suddenly City, Newcastle or any other club can start inflating APTs. The only way that will happen is if clubs now don’t agree on a new set of rules that include interest free loans from owners being counted as an APT. I personally don’t think they’ll agree that quickly, but the core components of APTs being assessed for fair market value is not going to away at all. In fact, City explicitly said they agreed with the principles of FMV.
The changes to the rules to make them lawful won’t particularly help clubs with APTs, aside from giving them possibly slightly more flexibility with what’s assessed as fair market value. What they will do is impact clubs that have been benefitting from interest free loans from their owner, like Arsenal, Liverpool or Brighton.
As I’m sure you’re aware, your own club isn’t in that bracket.
Sorry, meant to add and roll back on the amended rules they put in place this year, the pricing changes in there was also deemed to be unlawful.
I don't recall City ever baulking against FMV
Who makes the decisions anyway? It's got to be a totally independent body that works with solid data, not a panel made up of figures from the cartel.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
You had 2 deals blocked didn't you that let's say were questionable at best. I imagine they will be back on the agenda now.
How is it not anti competitive to allow Nation state backed clubs to funnel in money through shady sponsorship deals. This new ruling sure sounds like that's going to be more plausible now to me.
But again you're only ever going to see this from your own clubs point of view.

Yeah, strange since Omar was one of those instrumental in the commercial side of things whilst he was at City. Wouldn't he be implicated with the 115 charges?
You don't know anything at all, do you SE85?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn't trust him tbh.

It's a tough situation for lifelong fans to be put into to be fair. It's not reasonable to expect those fans to stop supporting their club, so at best they become slightly hypocritical while acknowledging the ownership situation isn't ideal. Then, at the worst end of the scale you have people like Boris.
