They reduced Utd's allocation for the league game this year and Utd will reduce ours for old trafford this season.

Very good! But I see it as a good thing, safety should come first!
Billybob..not really a debate...just a sensible point you've made...

Oh yeah, I see it now...can't comment on that thread, must be banned!
What do you think?
I think that if away fans cannot abide by the regulations imposed upon them, then the only answer is to reduce their numbers!

What reason will/did United give for reducing the allocation? Safety?

Racism.
I dont think they have reduced it Billy but even if they do and cite safety, it would be the same as what Liverpool have done twice this season.
Safety is paramount, right?

True mate!
I know it is probably just a few quid to LFC, but they will lose money cos of this I imagine! But I like the principle that says, 'if you don't behave and abide by the rules then you will suffer in the future'...I get it and really like it!

Does Luis feel the same? That is the question.
Billy
Is there any evidence to suggest away fans have been misbehaving at Anfield?
What are the arrest figures, I know you will have a link?

Racism? Surely the fact that United have had 2 cases of racist chanting since 2010 and Liverpool's away support have had none would suggest that racism at OT is more of a problem...are United reducing the number of home supporters cos of this? No!

None of us are fooled by BBT's thinly veiled digs. All of his articles and comments appear to be civilised and reasoned, yet the vast majority are aimed at wumming United fans.
Billy is very good at it though...

Does Luis feel the same? I wouldn't know, let's not get into that on this thread please, I think we have all had enough of that! Please?

I actually don't have the figures mate! I know that the club raised concerns about safety, and thus the council reacted to those concerns, something to do with crowding the exits/entrances I remember! I'm not sure arrest figures are relevant when it comes down to safety to be honest!
If away fans disregard the rules then their numbers should be reduced imo, I'm all for safety!

He has got wumming down to a fine art. No doubt about that.
Why don't they just reduce the allocation 100% on safety grounds...surely that would be the safest thing.

So we don't really have any evidence that there is a safety issue at all then.
Is there a safety issue at Anfield when other teams visit?
Maybe the FA should force Liverpool to play their home games somewhere else if they can not make Anfield safe for away fans.
Elvis
Seriously, this is no dig.
My whole point is highlighting the fact that if fans misbehave then what is the alternative? Reducing the numbers is the way ahead imo, if you were a travelling United fan and couldn't get a ticket cos ur own fans can't behave then surely you would want them to behave and abide by the rules so next time you may get a ticket!
Simple mathematics send out a simple message really, if United fans behave you get 6,400 tickets, if you don't, you don't! Simple!

Are you kidding mate, there has been a decision taken after recent issues to make the game safer for fans...
Think its a good idea and if you did the same id agree with that too...
Hopefully the recent issues will pass and we can all get back to normal.
