You are implying that the Oldham player could have made this up?
You are implying that the Oldham player could have made this up?
---------
It's possible, it's also possible he was racially abused 10 times, or 7 times, or 5 times, or once.
Answer the simple questions...
Do you KNOW that the guy was a racist?
Do you KNOW that he shouted racial abuse?
...............................
Yes.
Can I prove it, no.
.............
Now you answer this.
Do you think he shouted racial abuse at the player?
Arab
I know as much as you do mate...as it stands in this great land of democracy, the guy is innocent and no racial abuse was said!
Do you disagree with this?
I can honestly say that as a visiting fan to Anfield I have never been asked to sit down by the stewards. The announcer often asks, but the stewards seem to do very little. Are there enough of them?
Also, why do Liverpool single out United, when almost all away fans stand at their ground?
comment by BillyBobTaunton (U4886)
Yes of course, I think everyone here knows of the quote "Innocent until proven guilty." I'm just stating that the lad couldn't have lied about being racially abused, because I doubt anyone would cry if they were told to feck off or "you're a shitee footballer". Something horrible was said here, beyond an ordinary insult. Do you agree?
Also, why do Liverpool single out United, when almost all away fans stand at their ground?
...............
I think we all know the answer to that.
Well, yes its possible I suppose, ...he decided to pretend to be racially abused in a stadium and on TV and start to cry and convince his team mates that they heard it too and got them all to lie on his behalf...
I think he would need to be sectioned under the Mental Health Act if it turned out that way. But that's another matter.

Another question for you, are man utd a small club because they didn't, as you know, allow any away supporters into the ground?
..............
No. Because there has not been a time when we have not allowed any away supporters into our ground.

vidic chin doesn't know his own club! Truly a Devonshire, in fact because of this magnitude, perhaps we should call it "A vidic chin"!
Your fellow supporter contradicted what you said!!!
RBW
I am not implying that at all, I am simply stating that as it stands no one knows what happened, to claim that he must have been abused because he was upset is absurd! Imagine that in court, 'my client was clearly abused because he cried', any evidence? 'er no, but he was upset'...do me a favour!

Hold on a minute, have you just said that you KNOW he was racially abused and that the guy was a racist?
Have you really just said that? Yep you did....but you also said you couldn't prove it! Hmmm, I'm confused...you KNOW he said it but you can't prove it, I am sure you can see the clear fault in your comments!
Poor mate, real poor!
Your fellow supporter contradicted what you said!!!
..............
No he did not.
Maybe you don't understand what contradict means
Just caught up on all the posts, its sad to see the thread has devolved into another race argument. People need to get over this. Anyway, two points I wanted to talk about, one for each side of the argument (of the original OP),
1. Last season Man Utd had their allocation of tickets for away games cut by 12 teams in the Premier League. This has been a growing trend over the last couple of years and is due to bad behaviour by the United away fans ie the persistent blocking of aisles and gangways and standing.
2. Billy, as you previously mentioned, the decision is not just of the club but of the police, local councils and safety advisory groups. Tell me then, with the same groups talking to Everton, why was our allocation not cut there?
Have you really just said that? Yep you did....but you also said you couldn't prove it! Hmmm, I'm confused...you KNOW he said it but you can't prove it, I am sure you can see the clear fault in your comments!

What was the fault Billty, and I see you avoided my question as usual.

I have supplied you with a quote from the Oldham Captain. Here it is again. Seems pretty solid evidence to me.
Oldham captain Dean Furman urged authorities to take "heavy action" against fans found to be abusive.
"He was abused and I'll leave it to Tom and the police to investigate that," said Furman. "What happened should not happen in the game.
You said there wasn't a time when no away supporters were allowed into the ground...
Your fellow supporter says there was such a time.
As clear a contradiction as there'll be!

I appreciate the guy was upset, is that enough to convict somebody? Did he mishear what was said? I don't know the answer, but I do know that you are wrong by simply accepting the supposed aggrieved party's version of events without knowing all the facts, and the other side of it!...that goes to RBW to!
comment by Redinthehead -at least we didn't finish 13th (U1860)
RB&W said no away fans had been allowed in the stadium during the 90's due to OT's capacity being increased and pretty much looking like a building site. Are you having a go at the club for not letting away fans enter the stadium and risking their safety then? You stupid boy.
comment by BillyBobTaunton (U4886)
Indeed, the word has been quiet on that fan who got arrested. Was he charged or let go? That I do not know.
vc
What was your question? I will answer anything you ask honestly. Unlike you, who cannot provide details of your known knowledge of the guilt of the alleged racial abuser!
I must of missed your question in amongst all of the deflection that is going on here! Ask again

We did let some away fans in during the reconstruction periods. We had to cut down on their allocation.
I can't recall any blanket bans on all way fans. However this was a while ago, and I could be wrong.
