"Actually it is quite likely to happen again, what with the money City and Chelsea can throw around."

Does your brain even engage with your hands when you type?
Likely based on what? Something that is judged to be likely or not is an analysis of probability. So Arsenal are the first English team to win the english league since PNE over 100 years ago and you therefore judge it likely to happen again?
Tool
Above post is the one I'm referring to.
And in that case VC, why has the Arsenal one lived so much longer in the memory...
The points total is likely to be beaten soon, where as the unbeaten season i cant see being achieve in the prem any time soon. On the basis the unbeaten wins!
If anything, with the cash City and Chelsea can throw around, then they're more likely to do the Treble then go unbeaten, eh?
Being unbeaten is unbelievable achievement but I'd rather go for highest points tally.
Means more games have been won, going unbeaten can be result of many draws.
Ps I don't think any side will ever go unbeaten again.

To copy and paste your post, and ask what your point is, is keeping on topic Fred, unless you were not on topic.
You are not usually this dim unless you are talking about Rafa.

Chelsea obviously
The idea is to amass as many points as you can.
________________________________
Well consider this, you win the same trophy and the same prize money whether the win the league on 82 points or 114 points.
But I had no idea that Chelsea had that record until I looked it up and clearly many United fans didn't either or they wouldn't think they could get the points record, but we all know the invincibles don't we.
So which has had the greater impression on football?
------------------------------------------
United's treble by a country mile
Winning the CL is hard enough on it's own. To actually win your domestic league and FA cup as well considering the fixture congestion asaociated with it was unreal.
Chelsea are competing to win the FA cup and CL yet look likely to not finish top 4
Liverpool in 2005? Where were they in the league?
Doing all 3 simultaneously and winning all 3 takes something special.
Liverpool came close in 77
Does your brain even engage with your hands when you type?
..............
Yes.
Quite a lot more than yours do, going by the mistakes you keep making today.
Classic VC response.
You ignored the post where I asked which one has been better remembered?
Considering you thought that United could get the record points total this season shows you don't remember Chelsea getting it in 04/05.
However you know exactly who the Invincibles are.
So why has Arsenal's achievement lived longer in the memory if it's less of an achievement?

We're talking about the difference between unbeaten season and record points total.
Nothing to do with other trophies.
The treble is the second best thing a club can achieve in a season - after a quadruple, but it's not what we're talking about.
I think it's a bit naive to disregard other competitions and trying to talk only about the league, as the other competitions a team competes in has an impact on their league form - Juve not being in the CL and Milan getting to the quarters being a prime example.
Quite a lot more than yours do, going by the mistakes you keep making today.

Nice to know that you're jacking off to the typos i have made, rather then discuss the points that me and Fred have made which make you look like a tool.
Make sure you wear your nappies before you pop off to your late afternoon nap. We don't want any more slip ups from you.

I never said United would get the record points total this seson. No need to make things up Fred.

However you know exactly who the Invincibles are.
So why has Arsenal's achievement lived longer in the memory if it's less of an achievement?
..................
I had to look up what season Arsenal went unbeaten in the league in.
I would never have to do that with our trebble.
Going unbeaten could mean 20 odd draws, I'd prefer to win more games.
No one really enjoys a draw ! Unless it's when coming back from 3 down.
I doubt any Arsenal fan has to look up what season we went unbeaten either. Not really an argument there.
I would never have to do that with our trebble.

How can you lament others for lack of spelling ability and then call it the 'trebble'?
You are a United fan, of course you know when you won the treble in the same way that I could list off all our League Cup wins since the turn of the century.
The point is for the neutral fan the Arsenal Invincibles have had a greater impression than the Chelsea team that got 95 points.
End of story.
Treble is the better achievement but we aren't debating that are we?
It'd be interesting to see what United fans would say had it been their unbeaten season, I'd be surprised if you'd rather have higher points total then.

That may be true but it does not mean it's a greater achievment.
