Be very unimpressed if we give Colwill to Brighton as part of a deal for Cucurella.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
shouldn’t be giving him away at all, but especially not for a player who isn’t even a guaranteed starter. Sick of us using talented academy players as pawns will clinging on to utter trash, and now it seems like it will continue even under new ownership

Cucurella has also covered at LCB for Brighton, really good player from what I saw of him last season.

Definitely an upgrade on Emerson, Alonso and Kenedy.

got him in FF this year

Are we signing Zaha then or not ? Come on Chels don't look a gift horse in the mouth. He wants to come here, make it happen.

Otherwise we're going to be relying on the likes of Pulisic, Werner and Ziyech who can't hit a barb door in the PL.

Apparently Cucurella wants to join and we’ve told Brighton we would be willing to pay the £50m. Hopefully that means no Colwill involvement

Todd Boehly is ready to let Timo Werner leave on loan. Talks were held with RB Leipzig on Sunday to discuss a swap deal after #Chelsea asked for Josko Gvardiol. Leipzig insist they want to keep him.

If Cucurella means the end of Alonso, Emerson and Kenedy, I'm all for it.

Rather Colwill goes out on loan if he's involved in the deal but I'm guessing it'll be permanent.

Rather they'd take Sarr

Cucurella is a good target , shame Colwill seems to be being involved in discussions though unless it’s for a loan

Oh FFS, they're definitely going to come up with one of their proposals then

They actually activated a third lever for €100m today or yesterday lol

How many “levers” do they have?

#Chelsea and Leicester City are close to £20M apart in initial valuation for Wesley Fofana, with the Blues prepared to go up. Further talks are set to be held this week.

At the rate they’re going probably enough to end up with the club no longer being owned by its members

Hope we don’t f’anny about with this. We need to get a deal done for someone quickly so if we have no intention of meeting the asking price then stop wasting time and move on to someone else.

Doubt it as everyone else knows Sarr is shlt. Whereas Colwill is well known to have a lot of ability and potentially be the next big thing.

Exactly. If Fofana is really our number one centre back target right now - just pay them what they want and get it over with. What are we going to do - save £10M by negotiating until the last minute? Might as well suck it up, and get him in to start training with the squad asap.

I say pay what you have to in order to get the players that you really want. We can save lots of money NOT buying the players we don’t want - money we used to waste in the recent past.

posted on 1/8/22

Yeah we need to stop the paying say £30m for a 2nd/3rd/4th target who ends up becoming deadwood and a financial hindrance anyway rather than just paying £50m or whatever for the 1st choice

How can we even be entertaining the idea of sending Colwill to Brighton when we’ve already been struggling to get CBs in and would then need at least two?

Just pay the fee they want and keep Colwill here
