Mourinho as manager
JT as assistant
Then JT takes over in like 4-5 years
That will always be the recipe to us having 10-15 years of success. Probably got about 2 maybe 3 years max left to still do it

We were patient with Poch
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We were to be fair, Roman would of sacked him at Christmas
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah I don’t understand what’s so funny. Tell me when I’m telling lies.
The point is he did not start well but the people in charge did not sack him, and then things got a little bit better. That’s called being patient. Roman would have gotten fed up before 2024.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly. I wanted him sacked but the last 2 months we showed serious improvement even crap like Cucurella he was beginning to make look good. So I was more than happy to stick with him
In the post Klopp and soon to be post Pep era I think it's not unreasonable to think we could have challenged for the title under Poch in the coming years as he developed his team more. Particularly without all the injuries and a top class striker. We'll never know now though.
Looks like Poch is going to Man Utd now so we'll find out more about if he's a potentially PL title winning manager or not if he's given a proper chance and time there unlike he was here.
The point is nearly everyone was calling for him to get sacked. And the only reason anyone said to wait was because they didn’t want to do it mid season. Just because we didn’t get our wish doesn’t mean we were patient.
I was patient enough and then realized he wasn’t improving us at all for a LONG TIME. And don’t use that top 4 form nonsense. We played some of the worst football I had ever seen from us early this year.
Others collapsed and we improved right at the end. We may have been patient in actually sacking him but that decision was likely made a while ago. Don’t fool yourselves.
Also, like I said, I was okay with him getting next season. Felt he deserved at least to start it and see where we go from there but I don’t have much of an issue with him gone.
Anyways onto bigger and better things hopefully.
Glad they didn't choose Thomas Frank
Happy to see how we get on under Maresca but surely they have to give him time. Pointless banging on about this project nonsense if we're going to have a new manager every season lol.
Italians usually do well at Chelsea so he's got that going for him.

It's not nonsense, it's indisputable statistical fact that we were top four since Christmas. We definitely had some bad games since Christmas as well, nobody is denying that but the improvement in results was evident.
Sources close to Maresca have said he’s not in a rush and could decide to stay if he hates any late reservations about joining Chelsea. (@JacobSteinberg) #CFC

Yeah, we don't though.
It's harsh but it's the reality of sacking a manager who had some favour - Potter suffered from this following Tuchel. Fans are entitled to expect short term reasons to justify that decision.
I think the fair balance here is expecting a year of stagnation. If Poch was still here I'd have expected a consistent top 4 challenge from the new year onwards, same if an experienced manager replaced him. For Marseca I'd say 6th again is acceptable & better is a bonus.
Takeaways from our talk with LCFC fans :
• “Nearly bottled the championship” was down to missed chances from players
• Plays with an inverted right back
• Change of style was noticeable from the first game of their pre season
• Wingers go wide, 8’s encouraged to get in the box
• High pressing at the right moment, the striker has to be good at pressing
• Most goals conceded via transition, Leicester had slow CB’s, Chelsea need fast centre backs
• MOST important position is either the #6 or his GK, who must be elite on the ball.
• Rotated loads at the start but then got more stubborn, stuck with Daka upfront even during a bad patch, confidence was low
• Good man management
• Leicester fans got annoyed with slow and patient football with shouts of “get it forward” Maresca was a different type of manager to Rodger’s etc. Chelsea fans inside the ground need to be patient.

Some managers gave a feeling they were risking their careers by taking the Chelsea job, but Enzo Maresca knows this is a big opportunity for his career. (@iamrahmanosman) #CFC
Premier League side Chelsea have reportedly approached the representatives of 20-year-old Argentine whizkid Agustin Giay.
According to reputed Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Agustin Giay is the subject of interest from Chelsea. The Blues are scouring the market for a right-back and have identified the Argentine whizkid as a viable target. And they have already contacted the entourage of the CA San Lorenzo de Almagro prospect
