Wonder if Maresca would try to keep hold of Maatsen at the club ? Think he'd also suit his system. We're going to need at least two fullbacks on each side that can play over a season.
Here's the best case to make for Maresca:
- If we are committed to a strategy with a head coach, ideological obsession with possession and young players, we need a manager that suits that to give that vision the best chance of succeeding.
- If it fails, the DoF and owners will have to own their failure. They're sticking their neck out here. If we have another Potter season the owners will either sell up or rip up the entire structure again.
Maresca is a really weird way to spell De Zerbi

I always felt very uneasy about De Zerbi in general, how his team's got battered this season and the way he fell out with the Brighton hierarchy at the end.

De Zerbi hasn't officially been ruled out though yet so I'm not going to issue an apology about saying that De Zerbi had already been appointed behind the scenes until it's officially another manager lol
