England lead by 1 run with 7 wickets in hand

8 overs to go today. England are 259-3 with a lead of 16 and the Windies are now going with the new cherry. Should be a good spell of play to finish off another fine day, for England.

2 balls later and the bowler, with the new cherry in his hand has some sort of niggle. The skies darken and the players walk off.
Oh well, can't wait for tomorrow and have a feeling the match will almost be over by COP

Well today was all about Andrew Strauss (Unbeaten) century.

West Indies look very short of ideas. They have no enthusiasm. Looked down all day. Roach wicket of Cook just tells it owns story! (lol) Roach didnt even celebrate!

The best moment of the day was when Holding was fuming about the WICB administration/authorities over their poor handlg of Gayle/Sarwan/Bravo & most of all Jerome Taylor - the man who destroyed England in 2009! Holding eloquently said - he wants to ball to the WICB administration team!

Its all England. I expect them to wrap it up tomorrow. The only thing that can save West Indies is a miracle! Unless they bat very well in the 2nd innings & the rain can come & save them - all hope in this match is lost.

Broad shud easily a get a 10 match wicket haul!

I meant to say

Holding eloquently said - he wants to bowl to the WICB administration team & give them a piece of his (Holding) mind!!

cheers mate. i'll give that a try

In my experience online sites do not start up until the players take the field. Crictime was only showing IPL games so I went to webcric.com.

gets hit in the chest 1st ball! good bowling

presumably he has a different stance to the spinners ?

looks like he might have a tendency to play hard at the ball. might be a worry with men round the bat.

Very nervous for Jonny, i played with him throughout junior cricket at Yorkshire. Fingers crossed here.

he looks at home out there.

Took to international cricket like a duck to water so far, particularly in one day cricket, but looking solid out here so far.

Testing times for England.

And now he can feel like he is at home sat in the dressing room. Good effort by the West Indians so far today.

Strauss out this morning, as if he'd climbed Everest yesterday, an even bigger sign that his final days are near.

If Windies had packed Shillingford and Gayle, this would've been quite a tough series. It still might be as Bairstow falls.

Very very harsh JT.His first innings score is on the card at 122. What on earth does one have to do to impress some people ?

decent start from bairstow i thought.

time will tell, but ive seen so many debutants for england scratching around at the crease and barely getting it off the square. in comparison, he really looked the part. as i mentioned earlier he looks to have a bit of a jabby technique, so id have a concern with him going hard at the ball with men round the bat on a turner, but he should score plenty this summer at least

Bairstow is indeed out ( nobody is sure what to expect of him yet) and now we have 2 players at the crease that really do know their business. I am sure these 2 will take the game completely away from the Windies.

Excellent performance by England so far and there's the 300 for the loss of five wickets.

Did you see Shillingford recently, getting tonked all over the park by the Lions?
