Transfer values are not just based on ability.
----------
I said the same thing in my previous post Chicken. I said they were based on various things. You should read what I say in full.
My question is that if Siggy is so talented why did Hoffemheim loan him and then be willing to accept just £7m. Have you robbed them or do they know something that we don't.
I would suggest its the latter. My manager did want him but knew the extent of his talents which is why we wouldn't budge on wages. Had he been that talented we would have paid more. It's not like we don't have the money or players earning hundreds of thousands a week already.
At £7m which is cheap youd think that I he were as talented a you think he is, there would be a bidding war, between various team. But no, it was you and us, and it was only is because BR had him at Swansea.
To be honest I don't know why we are debating so hard on this. It's not like you took a world class player from
under our noses.
Robbing,
Have you ever played football to a decent level? Genuine question.
=======================
Depends what you mean by decent level. I did alright. I actually wrote an article about it ages ago:

What about you. whats your football history?

I thought we'd covered this point already. How long did he have on his contract, do you know?
Mancini was looking to loan out Tevez not so long ago - is he not Liverpool standard either?
Or is it all signings less than £15m cant be good enough, is that it?

Chicken has got the needle because Siggurdsson isn't a sought after player.

I don't think I would have got near you if you played Rymans.
Did not get decent coaching until I moved to Nottingham so that really held me back. I was at the point where I was not having to pay to play so that give you an indicator but we played a blue sqaure side pre-season a couple of years back and, although I think a lot of it was fitness, they destroyed us.
Moved from RB as a youth to RW then RWF but because my game was/is built on pace, or rather accelleration, now I'm 33 it's becoming difficult. I do have a great engine though and have represented district at a fair few sports including middle distance and cross country.
Not sure about this year yet, Maybe just retire to the power leagues. Staying in Friday, nearly having a fight on Saturday whilst getting kicked, and then training midweek??? Don't know anymore.
Fack me Liverpool fans are so pathetic
Dregs of 606 absolute joke fans so precious and sensitive that a harmless thread like this will roll on and on . Get over yourselves and stop bawling cos your club has fallen drastically off the pace of the premiership
Pathetic s
As pathetic as spurs supporters making a thread on Liverpool transfers?
Nope.
In fact the aforementioned thread is then placed on the Manchester United board in an act of Henry Kissinger style "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" diplomacy.
Which backfired when man utd ja606ers said Joe Allen is a talented player.

He was sought over by both you and Spurs, so Chicken really does have the upper hand here.

And if Liverpool had matched spurs wages offer, he would have came to Liverpool, but Rodgers knew how much he thought he was worth, and drew a line.
Upper hand ?
Nah, not really.

----------
It's pretty obvious, Tevez was a nightmare. Wanting to leave, not playing when asked. Mancini had every right to get rid of him. That's not a great comparison.
Still doesn't answer why Hoffemheim were willing to get rid of the "talented" Gylfi for so little.

I can imagine Liverpool fans doing anything.
They are daft.
I have no idea why they let Spurs fans wind them up.
