What constitutes World Class?

China and India's striker must be world class with all the competition they have to deal with

But only if they play two up front...if they play one then they get all the chances.

Don't get me wrong, xavi and iniesta are world class in their own right but their qualities are magnified by the quality of the players around them.

Yes Falcao is World Class.

May well be the very best Striker in the world.

Can't agree paisley...iniesta and xavi are class apart.
Much in the same way that messi and ronaldo are class above everyone else

But falcao gets all the chances as he plays up front on his own....it's much like Darren bent

Unlike some pillocks on here I happily respect your right to have a different opinion.

He does.

But unlike Suarez. He takes most of them.

And sorry to bring facts into this again, but he scores more goals per minute on the pitch than any other player in the world's best league which includes Messi and Ronaldo

Fair enough.
Still waiting for marsden to apply his Darren bent rule to falcao though

Any player that plays up front on his own benefits from this...surely!!
You can't apply one rule for one and not the other.
Have you even considered their respective team contribution and not just goals? Doubtful

I said it does, but...

So you admit you've used double standards here.

Guys please don't make it complicated. Suarez isn't world class yet.

posted on 18/11/12

There's nothing to complicate. This is no longer a debate as it has long since descended into farce. When you hear Suarez being compared to Darren Bent then you know you can no longer take the conversation seriously.

heskey > suarez

posted on 18/11/12

Isn't Heskey on form right now? So he's world class as well

posted on 18/11/12

Heskey plays as a lone striker so it's like Darren bent...he gets all the chances

And the point you missed, and continue to miss, is that any Player who gets all the chances and scores a reasonable amount of goals as a result, such as Suarez and Bent, cannot on that basis alone be considered world class.

And that any player who represents a small nation with a tiny population to choose from and therefore has a far greater chance of being picked to play regularly and scores a reasonable amount of goals as a reslut, such as Suarez and Healy and Paulo Wanchope, cannot on that basis alone be considered world class.

And that a player in an average Liverpool team that plays every game and gets almost all the chances and converts about one in eight of them most certainly cannot be considered world class on that alone.

He is a good player, he is aggressive and works his socks off, and I admire that.

That's it.

Bad luck if your from a small country the.

Best get telling the united fans that best can no longer be considered a world class player as he was from a small country

I'm glad we all continue to miss marsdens point because if I did get it, I'm pretty sure I would have to commit myself.

is he normally like this?

And by the first rule of marsden, falcao can no longer be deemed world class. Just another Darren bent

bent > falcao

posted on 18/11/12

Suarez gets all the chances because he's the only striker Liverpool have right now hence why he's scoring so many goals. Lets not forget all the chances he was missing at the start of the season.

Healy = falcao
