But you did vote leave?

So when it mattered you were wrong and now we're here
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Had TTIP been implemented as I expected it wouldn't be 'wrong'. But in life circumstances change and decision that you take at the time don't apply. Thats about being grown up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you admit you were wrong?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not at the time I voted in 2016. But if we were to hold the referendum again I would vote to stay in. But we are not going to have one because we have already left.

If you were going to ask should we join now would be really a very difficult question because I know for a fact that we would be asked to contribute to contingency funds. I wouldn't be happy abt that. We need to spend on our economy at the moment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Did you write on your ballot slip "out so long as there is TTIP"

Or did you just vote based on an assumption without all the fact?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You vote on what you think is going to happen. And what you believe is the right decision for yourself and the country at the time. But life doesn't always go as you expect. I am glad you think my vote put the leave campaign over the top though. I think you need to argue with those in the north who didn't have a nuanced position.

Which highlights just how stupid the whole vote was and how it wasn't legally binding

Or at least a second ref on final agreed terms

posted on 21/7/20

I agree with you on that. But like I said we are where we are. I think those leave voters in the north are the biggest stumbling block to a deal. Personally I wouldn't mind a Swiss+ or Norway+ type agreement. But would that huge intransigent majority be persuaded?

Arsenal win the CL in 2022...

CEG: So, J99, will you now finally admit you were wrong about Arteta back in 2020?

J99: Not at the time when I jumped to my original conclusion. But if I were to post my comments again I would say he was the right man for the job.

Feck of you t!t. I have been pro-Arteta ever since I knew we couldn't get Enrique or Alegri. But I am not going to be an idiot and support him blindly. Its not a blank cheque. I expect him to get results, play with some style and show progression.

The ISC's long-awaited report said Russian influence in the UK was "the new normal" and called for "immediate action" to help tackle the threat.

But the committee said the government "actively avoided" looking for interference during the EU referendum.

It also said there was "no reason" for the report's publication to be delayed.

Boz, Nige and Dom: Russia

doubt EU will allow that given we're a much more direct competitor now and positioning ourselves as a tax haven

Not so sure about that. If we were in a Swiss+ or Norway+ they would have a modicum of control. If we were to really go aggressive ala Singapore a lot of Euros from that Corona deal we were discussing will be rushing into London via the usual suspects in Spain and Italy.

Our GDP, Exports and Imports dwarf those nations though

We can't model a deal that's gone before because a situation like this hasn't come before

Russia Report then...

Essentially: there's no evidence of Russian interference in the Brexit referendum because we didn't investigate it

Such a toady answer.

I've seen you on the match threads with your 'this isn't Pep, it's Moyes' comments. More than once too.

Drip dripping your negative little opinion so that no doubt, if it does go wrong for the manager, you can triumphantly turn round, hug Pete and say LOOK, LOOK AT ME, EVERYONE. LOOK HOW CLEVER I WAS!

Can never just flat out to being wrong about Brexit though

Bit weak, tbh.

What a load of bull. Still trying to make conspiracy theories that its all Agents and Raul? Or now that Luiz is playing well its Arteta and Edu?

You are so swept up by your bible Arseblog.

Whats so difficult to understand? I don't think Arteta has proven himself because of two results. Its exactly what I said of Emery when he was going unbeaten last season. You have to show consistency and improvement in our style and achieve results. Arteta has to achieve Champions League qualification next season. And I don't think playing like Moyes is going to do that. But I can understand if thats the only thing he can do this season with the players he has! Sorry if thats too complex thinking for you.

But money doesn't only come from those two nations. Just look at what happened to asset prices in South East and London from 2012-2016. While the ECB had zero interest rates with positive inflation where do you think money from EU with all those bailouts went? I knew of companies in Spain with rampant tax avoidance hiding cash everywhere. There was huge black market growth. Car dealerships across Spain giving 20% discounts on cash only purchases during that period.
