Chelsea: 'The terms of [Rooney] offer are confidential but for avoidance of doubt ... didn't include transfer or loan of any CFC players'
As I said on several threads, I am sure it would be Torres or another of their shíte players
Matt Hughes @MattHughesTimes 1m
Chelsea strongly deny offering any player to United. They made a cash bid which was rejected. They're furious with Utd. Statement imminent.
I just wish we could jump forward to the Swansea game.
Looks like mind games being played here, I think United leaked the Mata thing to tell Jose to back off.
if it were true why would chelsea risk upsetting their players by confirming that they tried to use them as a makeweight in a deal, especially considering the offer was declined
Way to unsettle the Chelsea players
Well done United
think no one seriously thought it was true.
It would have been absolutely insane of Chelsea to offer 10 million AND Mata.
Talk all over the net that United want Rooney to go to Barca to be part of a Fabregas deal.
Hahahahahaha so we released the info!

#cfc confirm made a written, cash-only bid for Wayne Rooney. Refute any suggestion of player-exchange.

Read the journo tweets, this is all down to United. It's some sort of mind games war.

I've just seen a mourinho out article

To clarify #cfc angry that two of their players have been thrown into the mix, which they blame on Utd. Insist Mata &. Luiz will both stay.
I'm not going to lie, I fecking believed it but I'm so relieved it was a crock of shiteeee. I mean who rejects Mata?!
Didn't think there was much substance to this one.
Plus we would have to be crazy IMO to turn down mata + £10M for Rooney. Mata would be a dream down our left cutting in and linking with kagawa.
Honestly have no idea how this saga will end, but I can envisage a huge transfer merry go round on the horizon.
United fans started putting Mata in their next season line ups. 4-2-3-1, Mata in the middle.
That is brilliant from the club
I'm now liking United's strategy here, it's basically "You wanna feck with us? Bring it."
I mean who rejects Mata?!

Moyes was very clear that Rooney wasn't for sale. There was no way any bid would be immediately accepted.
Rooney will go but it won't be an instant thing. United will want to look as strong as possible.
Mourinho's press conference in 40 mins time, now this should be goooood
Torres
Are they going to give us £80m + Torres? That's how much we would need to recover from the damage of losing Rooney and introducing Torres into our squad.
He might drag the sale out until after the Chelsea game, then let them have Rooney before the window closes.
