Juan Mata - what does the future hold?

Yes, Kings, and my point is if we should play mata and bring in a world class holder. Not keep the nonsense two in the pivot and play wingers as defenders.

"TCP , I preferred that game and the attempt to play than the ghastly 0-0 camp out at the Emirates "

What like corresponding fixture the same season?

Roman didn't.

Even Levy doesn't

I dont want the fecking pressing game. And if you weren't such a baby you would debate rather than WUM

Kings, under RDM??

When we kept camping???

I hated it!

Also Fergie has been playing conservative for years away against the big teams.

What were United doing with that clown all these years, Holloway would have played more 1-2's and lost 6-2.

How do you even know what Roman clearly wants, you criticise me fro claiming Pep was RA's choice, then you assume he is looking for a results grind.

If we are speculating..maybe he believed Jose's BS. Roman is human after all.

We had to do that against Barcelona. We could have conceded 10 over the 2 legs as it was

Exactly npe77

I just hope we can bring one in before Mata ends up leaving. It's actual madness that I hear fans talking about an "attacking" midefielder's defensive game more than his attacking qualities.

Sorry, we should emulate Fergie

He still won't take consolation in the performances if we are not getting results.

Scolari had us playing samba football at times, and he was gone in less than year

npe, Fergie, whoever, many managers use a tactical approach in away big games.

Wenger doesn't , and loses nearly every time.

Or you could try the Napoli away process

One of the things that made Barca great was their pressing game
----------------------------------------------------------------------

One of the main reason's Bayern are so good is because of the off the ball work Robben and Ribery do.

Football has evolved from when defenders focusing on defending and attackers attacking, if Makelele played in today's game, he would have had to have improved his attacking game.

How exasperating!

Thats my point.

That method, that team, it was a different chelsea.

That style worked for that trophy, but after winning the CL that camp out anti-football should have been brought to a close.

That generation achieved wodners but the physical chelsea of old shuld have stopped then. We had achieved all we needed, we became an elite club...

of course we want to win more, but that established us to the point we could look to build success in other ways...

I have no beef with us wininng the CL like that...but it should have stopped then.

Last season encouraged me that a style change was appearing...sure there were big blips and rocky patches...but things were looking up..

Now though

Yeah that explains the Invincibles

Even centre back have to chip in with their fair share of goals this day in age.

The day's of Nesta or Hansen barely reaching double figures in his whole career, are over.

Sideshow, true, but they didnt play defensive wingers, and Pep never would have sacrificed talent like Mata.

I dont want us to replicate Barca, there is more than one way to play good football.

No he brought in Rafa as a stopgap hoping to lure Pep after.

And Rafa plays nicer footy than the Stubborn One.
