Both very good players. Mata produced more in his first 6 months than Ozil. I would rather have Mata but Ozil is very good also.

To call one player as better than another when they are both of such similar levels of ability is a very difficult judgement that can seem unfair on both players, who should be regarded as the unique talents that they are.

As far as United are concerned right now Mata is a better signing than Ozil would be. Mata is PL proven and will fit in easily.

Ozil has shown flashes of brilliance so far but he hasn't yet reached Mata's PL level of consistency of the past two years.

What I've seen of both players. Ozil is easier on the eye, more productive, younger, played and produced for better teams etc
