There is no logical basis for claiming Ozil is better than Mata. All the stats say otherwise. But Arsenal fans and logic have never been good bed mates.

An example of the modern football fan. Judging players by statistics. Going by your logic, Walcott is a better player than Bale.

and this is why I don't come on ja606 anymore. Turned into a special needs centre.

Santi can control the tempo of the game both footed. Can play cm/wing/cam. Best close control in the league and the close control on level with Iniesta and messi.

That statement is outrageous, Cazorla has the same close ball control as Messi and Iniesta?? So if Cazorla is so great how come he was bought for a mere 17.5m, surely his Messi-esque qualities would have fetched him atleast 30m?

the thing is, Mata doesn't even have better stats than Ozil. Ozil's stats are much better

Henry was bought for 12m and Andy Carroll was bought for 35m, sir.

So now the market value determine the quality if a player?

Clown.

I'm sorry, but I've been reading through the other comments on this thread and it is unbelievable about how much ignorance there is. How oppositions fans have the cheek to try and tell us about our own players and what positions they play in and how well they're playing when they don't even watch Arsenal as regularly as us Arsenal fans, is just incredible really.

Remember when the deluded Gooners said Cazorla was better than Kagawa

So close control is the only attribute that determines how much a player is worth? Is Andy Carroll worth £-56m then?

Those were unproven young players with potential at the time, Cazorla was bought when he was 28 for gods sake. That analogy is completely idiotic.

United fans posting about a player yet to be tested under Moyes' system. . Next you lot will be saying Iniesta would thrive at Stoke based on stats.

Cazorla's ball control ain't on Iniesta or Messi level. But it is exceptional and probably the best in the Prem along with Hazard's.

You judging players on their price just pretty much confirms we've been conversing with a window licker. God knows how you'll understand my initial paragraph, let alone the whole post.
It's a miracle that you've even constructed comprehensible sentences.

I like it when all the Arsenal lads are on the same team. Such a rare occurrence on here

On the Ozil Mata debate, I maintain that they are both class acts and can't separate them.

On the Ramsey thing however..... I was completely wrong I guess I have seen Arsenal play a lot this season but hadn't noticed his defensive work. However, I looked at the tackle stats (as I simply couldn't believe he had made the most tackles). All I could find was up to the end of September but at that point, he had. I have no reason to believe that things have changed dramatically since then.

My comment was a sort of WUM I guess. I was just bored and looking for discussion more than anything. I an not very good at the whole WUM thing I guess.

Xavi is too old the pensioner.

The OP first article (long time reader I guess) and he gets this response. Decent.

Messi isn't a good player because he cost Barcelona nothing.
