We ended Liverpool's season.

It's understandable that some of their supporters are so upset.

The game has gone, and while Arsenal won it wasn't in the cavalier manner that we swept them away. We've come on a lot in a short space of time.

We are at the very least equal to Arsenal, and with Arsenal having Wenger at the helm for 15 years and is having Rodgers at the helm for less than 2 years its fantastic to see us close the gap so dramatically.

We are on an upward curve, long may it continue.

You smartly avoided saying Arsenal are in a downward spiral.....didn't work out too well for the last chap to say that

"Ghost, you are right...most of the lapping came after the match when your players did a lap of honor"

No celebrating, no thanking the fans.
Not allowed, this guy said so.

Not so much whilst it was in play.

Hence the 2 goals we scored

--------------

That makes sense.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Perhaps if Brad had touched the ball twice more than he did, you'd have won 0:1?

Really hard to grasp that one...

Why would I say that when it blatantly isn't true?

The last bloke to say that almost had spurs on that downward spiral.

Just look at what a novice manager can do with that same team!

Is hafijur now a Liverpool fan? Resorting to the 'we had more shots on goal than them' line?

Get a fúcking competent keeper then you silly curmudgeons.

Keepers influence games just as much as outfield players

Lads the reaction on here is embarrassing by some, we lost a narrow game to a top team at their ground. We palyed well (far better then we did in the league game in Nov). But soem of the reaction is cringy and is just making the gooners on here laugh at some of you.

On another day we could have got the draw but it wasn't to be. Studge missed a few so he's obviously upset with himself but I thought everyone played well and to have Arsenal on the back foot at their own ground for the vast majority of the second half is a good thing, we showed we can compete with the teams above us.

Plus we recently had the huge 5-1 win, and 3 league points is right now more important to us, I know we would have all loved to have gone through but on the day they took their chances and we didn't. No one to blame but ourselves. BR wen't for it with the change of Henderson for Chissoko. We did all we could but just could not break down what was a very well organised back 4 and a keeper who was excellent.

So what's the point in all these articles? Makes us sound bitter and paranoid. They won a tight game, if some of them want to be smug about it let them, we gave enough grief to them over the 5-1 which, lets face it, was the far more impressive result and something we will all remember for years, this fa cup tie was just another narrow win for a top side at home, the 5-1 was an absolute demolition so we shold be content wth that win and be dissapointed with yesterday but not bitter

"So with that logic, Shez didn't touch the ball at Anfield? Oh wait, he was you motm and prevented in eing about 9"

-----

How so? Jones could've touched the ball twice more than he did without being MotM.

Not sure what you're getting at, tbh.

"On top of that, you have bragging rights, and there are no bigger, more obnoxious or arrogant than Arsenal fans on this site."

And it seems there are no bigger, more obnoxious or arrogant losers than Liverpool fans.

"We battered you"
"You got lucky"
"Why are you celebrating"
"It doesn't matter"
"Small club"

Blah, blah, blah.

This article is another fine example.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The first two are very salient points. We were the better team,; more possession, more shots on target, more chances, we played better football

You were lucky that our strikers were profligate yesterday when they have been so clinical in recent months. You were lucky that Webb bottled a major decision.

I disagree with the others. Arsenal are a massive club, a great club, its just the fans who are awful. It did matter, of course it mattered. I'm very disappointed about being out the cup.

However given that your fans are the worst on here, you have to expect some sort of retaliation from others on the odd occasion

"Did you see the Liverpool players doing a lap of honor after embarrassing you at Anfield?"

I've no idea, I didn't leave the TV on.
If they did I couldn't care less. They can do what they want.
I've no issue with the Arsenal players being happy to win when they've been under pressure and not in the best of form.
If the game was so unimportant Sturridge wouldn't have been quite so upset.

Really think you need to relax over players and fans enjoying a win and the relief of it.

At least now Liverpool are out of the FA Cup they can concentrate on qualifying for the Champions League.

Because that's more important than winning a trophy....right?

Nope and no doubt when they all look back on their careers they'll regret having not marked the high point of it more than they did.

How many games do you think Arsenal have done that in the last 9 years and not won?
Arsenal fans are all experts in "dominating" and not winning.

"You were lucky that our strikers were profligate yesterday when they have been so clinical in recent months. You were lucky that Webb bottled a major decision."

Not finishing chances is not luck, it's not providing the quality required at that moment and not being clinical.
Can't argue with the ref issue, no one can.

U4443: you should know...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's kind of my point.....saw a few Liverpool fans saying top 4 is more important than the FA Cup......probably the same people who mock the value Arsenal place on CL football over FA Cup/CóC.

I'm just throwing a little tantrum is all

Afraid it doesn't work like that, Dot.

Unless you're challenging for the league, once you're out of the cups, it's 'season over' time.

So we're told, anyway...
