It's starting to sink in that FSG might just sack everything else off for this super league. So no Prem, no FA cup.
There would be no going back from that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
18 games plus knockouts isn’t it? Already hard to fit all that in with 38 PL matches. No chance of anything else.
We could play our u18s I guess.
MNF is going to be tasty...

Can’t see how they can stop it tbh. It’s well outside of their remit. UEFA isn’t a government body, the new league is a private enterprise and the clubs have said they’ll still take full part in the domestic competitions.
I reckon they’d take the government to the cleaners on this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They can regulate any industry as they see fit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No they can't.
This is capitalism and the free market at work. Private entities will do what they want and chase the money.
If the govt attempts to stop this then they should use the same rationale to tax the super rich and dI've social change, which they fail to do because apparently they don't want to tamper with the free market economy.
What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
Another awful performance and another crap result.
Complete nothing performance from everyone in that second half. Just rubbish. Leeds good value for the point in the end despite us outplaying them first half.
Nobody has a clue how vital those two points will be by the end of the season but we will see.
This team needs a lot of work to be back challenging for the league next season that’s all I can say for certain.
Spurs joining the Super League is like me walking into the Crucible and putting 50p on the table
Klopp was too slow to react to Leeds pressure and his subs made no sense when the none existent midfield was getting overrun
Cant believe we lost again
Ox didn't offer anything when he came on. We were tired in the second half.

Football lost today. Another turgid Liverpool display was just icing on the cake.
Fully expect Nigel Huddleston's sister to have shares in the ESL by morning.
Both sides of the fence have revealed some of their cards, if you've been reading the right sources.
So we know for sure that it's all about the money with these governing bodies. More games = more tv money for the governing bodies which they seem reluctant to share with the clubs going under the guise of more games means more income for clubs.
We know the clubs wants to control everything...but at the cost of fair competition in sport? Facking hell how did they come up with that
I must say this has probably the most invested I've been in the sport for about a year now
Also Gary Neville's poes

Patrick Bamford: "It's amazing the amount of uproar when somebody's pocket is being hurt. It's a shame that this doesn't happen with issues like racism."
Saw that last night. How Slavia Prague were allowed to complete that match after not taking the knee (however trivial you might feel of the impact of taking the knee is against actual racism) is actually a disgrace.
No fines, no statement, no press release, nothing. I'm actually happy our club has been a trigger for a moment that is actually shaking up the sport. We needed this.
The club is right in doing this. What if the new league became successful and the club is left behind playing against shte teams in the CL with less income.
I will always follow the club whether they are playing in league 2 or in the elite league.
Neville is only doing this because he is instructed and allowed to say what he has said. Sky will be the first ones who will bid for the tv rights of the ESL.

Can't say I agree with you at all. I think Neville and Carra were entirely genuine last night.
Nah in his initial reaction Neville probably mentioned Utd once, Arsenal once and then went on a rampage against LFC, the owners and even the fans and our anthem ffs.
He can choke on a thousand diiicks
I thought they were genuine as well. They do seem like two people in football who obviously care about the core values of the game.
Unfortunately, one way or another, this does seem to be the route the game is heading and has been for the best part of 30 years now. I think the clubs saw this as the perfect opportunity to offset (and gain on top of) the losses of the pandemic.
