Bajcetic looks slow whenever I have seen him play.
Imagine what a young dynamic high energy midfielder could do for this team when a pensioner like Milner provided just that yesterday. I don't want to see Elliott start in this team. The guy came on and ran like a headless chicken. Elliott allowed a Napoli player to run off him and Fabinho needed a foul to stop the danger. The free kick led to their offside goal.
He is just not good enough at this moment. Let him improve his stamina and physicality.

Jones should really watch videos of Gundogan at Dortmund when Klopp was there.
Had the perfect balance of using his insane dribbling skills to hold onto the ball vs when to play the passes first time
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good shout. I do think the quickness of final ball will come with time, practice and confidence

Personally I still have high hopes for Jones. He has the things that are more difficult to teach - his touch and speed of footwork is impressive, his willingness to take the ball in difficult situations is good. And generally he looks to be progressive.
I've said this before but I think there's an element of him holding on too long because he's too keen to impress. To play the key pass or to pick the 'right' option. Or just to demonstrate how comfortable he is with the ball at his feet. Pretty sure it was Fergie that said (when talking about a young Ronaldo) that the last thing a player learns is to pick the right option. If Jones just speeds up his play I'm sure he'll pick the wrong options to start with, but I'm also sure he'll get better and better at playing the right ones.
Agree about Jones. He has the basics for a great midfielder if we can just get his development right.
Jones was decent last night.
Nunez is just a menace though, he needs to play through the middle with Salah on the right and Diaz on the left in a 433.. They can interchange and cause defenses all sorts of problems.

You know what, I think he is a key player already and he's not even close to being the finished article.
Firmino IMO needs upgrading on, yes hes been better this season, but he's just not the presence of which he used to be.

Think he suits being one of the forwards tbh.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You reckon? Not sure he has the pace for it, but we know he has a good shot on his left and right at least
Agree with Naby8 above though
Nunez has improved his G/A per min to 61.91
11 goals 1 assist in 743 mins

Salah and Nunez have the pace. They just need Jones to be more decisive because when he has the ball it never comes in.
i added in his international goals, its 92.87 mins per g/a
I was going to say 62 goals/assists per minute would be quite impressive.
He has even more goals than Jesus which is what matters.
He has also ovetaken Donkey Carroll tally for LFC.
yeah i was confused at to how he'd cut 30mins off his rate in like a week

People who compared him to Caroll are stupid. First and foremost a snail was quicker than Carroll.
I'm looking forward to the Diaz and Darwin combination. There were glimpse of it against Arsenal before Diaz went off with an injury.

I won't say it got to me. The way I see it is I look at other striker first season and below is his progress:
1) Carroll is donkey level - COMPLETE
2) Werner is foundation level - 90% COMPLETE
3) Lukaku is flop level - IN PROGRESS
4) Suarez is intermediate level - TBA
5) Torres is advanced level - TBA
6) Salah is expert level - TBA

Son needs surgery which will keep him out for the game against us. Good news as he loves a goal against us recently.
