How would your 4-2-4 look, Nunez and Gakpo up front?
Trent stepping-in presumably makes it a 3-3-4 in possession?
We signed anyone else yet ffs

Yeah.
But it will never work while Salah is here...so I think we'll invert Trent in the current 433 but eventually I can see us moving towards the 424
Well as long as Lijnders is here, I see that as our progression or evolution
I’d go…
Alisson
Konate - VVD - LCB
Trent - CDM
Salah - Mac Allister - Szoboszlai - Diaz
Núñez
But can’t see it…

I'm quite surprised by the number of people seeming to suggest Szoboszlai is replacing Salah you know - does he ever play as a forward? I thought he was purely a box to box/ attacking midfielder
Just wondering given we're apparently still trying to get more midfielders, which is a total surprise to me
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No idea where it's come from really. He's not a Klopp type WF in any way. I could be wrong but I suspect he'll be an AM all day, every day for us.
He may provide some cover at times possibly bit other than, no.

Yeah both of these, this player is a midfielder from all the info and limited clips on YouTube.
Here’s one for the FSG accountants to feast on:
Former Liverpool player Allan de Souza has joined Flamengo on a permanent deal from Atlético Mineiro.
@LFC are said to receive part from this transfer, as they had inserted a sell on clause when they sold him due to him being part of the LFC Academy.
Thiago has removed LFC from his Instagram bio
Better to get some sort of transfer fee for him if we can tbh
Nothing wrong with his talent, he's just injury prone...

Apparently he never had it on there, or at least not for a long while
Would rather keep him for those 20-25 games than get peanuts for him.

Would be a mistake to sell Thiago in all honesty. He’s still a quality player, and with us bringing new midfielders in, it can actually suit us now to not overplay him. But then if he doesn’t sign a new extension, it’s another player lost on a free so.

Oh please let this happen.
depends on fee for me, if its not close to what we paid just keep, still be very useful and the kids can learn a thing or two from him.

Would be nice to see him ball out without the added pressure of stressing about not being injured
He needs to go and be replaced by another more industrious busy body buzzing midfielder IMO. I appreciate his talent but I don't feel like it's what we need.
His three seasons with us
18 games 0 goals 0 assists
25 games 1 goal 4 assists
24 games 0 goals 0 assists
Scored 1 goal in the CL overall
Interceptions and many other stats also poor
Same period Hendo has 3 goals and 8 assists.
He's supposed be our most attacking midfielder that supposedly plays those key passes and unlocks tight defenses. A more defensively aware midfielder would arguably have better stats than him while contributing more to a clean sheet.
No brainer really.
Romeo Lavia rumours ramping up.
Except he was our most industrious midfielder last season
I like Thiago but if the Saudi’s offer good money then we should take it, he’s simply not reliable enough and will walk away for nothing next year!

You don't say
Thiagos game has never been about those things k7, not sure why you'd think it was, he was never like that at bayern etc
Anyway yeah should be sold always injured and can't afford to lose another player on a free
I'd like to keep Thiago because this will be the first year he's been here where we're actually able to rotate him and keep him fit.
Most of the times he's been injured is because he's having to play 8/9 games in a row due to the back ups also being injured or sh!teee.
I've just looked at last years Fantasy Football points.
Thiago got 30 and cost 5.1m
Milner got 42 and cost 4.4m
Get rid.
Lavia got 57 for a relegated team at 4.5m
Mac Allister got 140 at 5.6m
Replacing 72 points with 197 points at a net cost of 0.6m seems like shrewd business
Whoever from here won FF last year replaces Lijnders if we're not top at Xmas 23
