Said the other day as it stands now CB is our biggest issue going forward. We definitely need atleast one top future CB this window and thats without losing one we have.

I think someone like Salisu would be worth going for. Hes a coaches dream as he has everything, pace power 6 ft 3 unit is only 24 and Southampton just got relegated. His form for them up and down though, at one point he was in top form and looked a monster for a talent but then well Southampton got relegated lol.

Some pref bella ketchup guy, hes 3 years younger, prob not as quick as Salisu.

Not sold on Salisu myself but can play on the left.

Thing Matip Gomez VVD Konate have is theyre all pretty good with their passing, something that became clear when we were relying on Williams and Phillips.

not many cbs about with the physical and technical attributes needed to play in our system.

Because of the way we play we’ll need to spend big money on a centre back as we need them to be players not just defenders.

We got lucky with Matip on that free, unfortunately i dont think theres any CBs in our youth with the full package either? Quansah Koumetio etc seem kinda slow like Phillips and Williams?

Harwood-Bellis could be an option, was excellent for burnley last season, though hes a city player

Could see us working on him just cause of that. If we like him as a player tap him up force a move. 2 years left on his contract, they dont like players entering their final year.

Think theyre desperately tryna tie him down now but he holds some big cards and is demanding playing time and probably a very big wage. seeing as RJ and Chillwell etc are on 250k and raheem 350k.

Can’t dismiss the possibility. Whatever anyone on here says, the club will pay top dollar for the right player. He’d be a ‘bigger’ picture signing, like Nunez and Allison and VVD before him. We’d be buying them for 5/6/7 years so nowhere near as expensive as the face value. Seems we have the same thoughts on Lavia.

Aren’t Chelsea making changes to their wage structure? Think maybe those huge contracts are ending. They’ve belatedly realised it’s not sustainable.

Yeah seen alot of chelsea fans mentioning reducing the wage bill

He won’t be far off the cost of Gvardiol. Really see that happening?

They need to take £100m off the wage bill according to some reports, and want to achieve an average of £75k.

Colwill is on £15k a week, been shunted put on loan twice and is in the final two years of his contract.

It's a long shot bit a staggered deal may work.
