I've taken Dom off fraud watch

I felt he was brilliant, he was sloppy at times but really grew into the game and his work off the ball was outstanding. Even with a heavy touch or poor pass the positions he got in were promising, caused them the same kind of problems he caused utd. Towards the end he was picking some wonderful passes for us to counter etc. Hopefully thats done him the world of good on confidence.

Slot was talking about him being important off the ball but needs to add more goals and assists. So hes in agreement atleast too.

He can do a good job against teams who don't park bus and he has space. Still think he lacks tech against low blocks.

AC Milan were parking the bus though, especially opening 20 mins or so they sprinted back 10 men behind the ball. it was 2 set pieces opened them up lets not forget...

As i said on the live thread too took us a while to grow into the game and our press. Looked scared at times and the gaps between the front 5 press and back 4 scared to get too tight.. reijnders or w.e hes called was loving the pockets between... once we sorted that out we played them into traps with our press and they hated it. and our mf and def gained confidence and bossed it tbf. Really impressive. Jota had a poor game but again as i said he orchestrated the press, the way we're not rushed into pressed but rather the movement and angles of our press cutting off passing angles forcing them where we want.

Honestly I was absolutely amazed at how we grew into that game as we looked completely off it at first and Milan looked bang up for it. It felt like a continuation of the Forest game against better opposition but, especially after the weekend, to come back and control the game like that was absolutely superb.

Biggest plus point for me last night aside from the obvious was Gakpo, I thought he was excellent. Gravenberch and Gakpo look like completely different players under Slot.

We get a couple of mentions in the gossip column on BBC today. Apparently we are after a CDM and LCB in the January window, but the rumour mill has started for Trent and Real.

I have no real issue with Trent moving to Real, but sign a contract and get us a fee. Don’t do an Owen, fans will never forgive you.

Yeah didn’t look good. Looked like Slot dropped AMA a touch deeper after ten mins and the balance was better and also stopped Reijnders getting on the ball as much between the lines.

Still not sure on AMA in that role really, for a number of reasons. Think I’d rather see him and Dom fight for that position at 8. Not sure. I like AMAs skillzzz deeper but he’s just not that athletic.

Yeah it's a shame what we're doing to AMA. He's a world class midfielder and we're basically asking him to cover for our shortcomings on the pitch & off it, because of our lack of risk in the transfer market.

I’m pretty sure he’d rather be doing bits in and around the oppo area. Doing what he’s good at basically.

Gakpo had similar games in the ropey last year under Klopp? Didnt he look up for it vs atalanta at anfield but he was the only one?

Think hes looked fit and sharp for a while now just barely played for us. Was doing similar at the euros for the dutch when i watched them.

He’s far better on the left. Like loads.

In the current setup he's perfect for the Grav role imo.

Probably won't be as robust as Grav but definitely bring more intelligence and quality on & off the ball. Not that Grav has done anything wrong of note

Not gonna lie, after the first 15 mins I thought i could be a long night for you fellahs, that said after that you controlled the game, thought Milans defence wasn't great but you forced them into certain areas and formations they didn't deal with well at all

He needs to either learn how to shoot or stop shooting. I counted five times where he either ballooned it over or dragged it wide.
