Despite Grav absolutely excelling in the role, I still think we need a 6 to be paired with him.

Grav - Zubimendi would be a really good base of the midfield, plus allows us to get Mac further forward. Lots of different options there.

Obviously, it won't be Zubimendi, just using him as an example!

I'm personally liking Mac Allister next to him. He's turning into a very good box to box player, helping out in both parts of the pitch. This gives Szoboszlai more attacking freedom.

Milan looked absolutely crap when our second string beat them in the San Siro in 2021, and not much better last night. Wasn't that surprised really personally. Nice stadium though.

Milan pressed very narrow with 4 players to block the center area and wanted to force us to the sidelines. Slot solved this with overloading the wide areas which dragged Fofana out of position.This created the space between their lines. Fonseca just copied the Ipswich pressing tactics.

He was highly rated early on in his career wasn't he? When he managed Donetsk to 3 titles and got them into the CL knockouts. That seemed the point when he was linked with every job going. Done very little since though.

Now I think he's just one of the names that circles. Can't see him ever landing a top 8 EPL team that's for sure.

Remains to be seen if failing to sign a DM will cost us, but one thing is for sure, it is already clear why we didn't sign anyone after failing to get our top target. Slot knew what he wanted to try out and felt it was better than signing another Endo.

I doubt Slot has anything to do with it
