But you’re saying Slot has nothing to do with whether we sign a player or not. Do you think if they came up with a name and Slot said it’s not what he wants that we would sign him anyway?

I’m saying he’s not the decision maker, because he’s not, so making up a narrative as Mamba did (and does) is wholly erroneous at best.

Slot does not get to decide whether we sign players or not. It really is that simple.

Slot knew what he wanted to try out and felt it was better than signing another Endo.

I don’t think Mamba said he was the decision maker. He said that Slot basically came up with the idea of using a player we already had rather than making a signing that was similar to Endo.

It’s just an opinion and not a ridiculous one. Though obviously not having the same one as you is a cardinal sin.

Doubt edwards would have come back if the manager was deciding, think thats part of why he left (yes its hughes doing his old job now)

Angelo Stiller had a great game against Real Madrid last night. He outplayed their midfield even though they lost by individual brilliance.

He is playing like how Slot wants the number 6 to play the game and is very good on and off the ball.

We’ve been scouting Zubimendi for years. Slot is on a three year contract, shorter than any player we will sign. To suggest what Slot felt is just bollox. He will have an input, sure, but so do the scouts.

The idea that Slot decided to use Grav in his current role as opposed to signing someone of Endo’s level is not even remotely ridiculous. I have no idea if that’s what’s happened though, as do you.
