I was against Gravenberch in the old system whereby he needed to play up and down the pitch. That isn't his game.

His characteristics is about receiving the ball in a deep position and beating the press in the first phase.
Now It's about holding your position and having a good rest defence which suits him better.

Probably...his movement on pitch is some of the best in world. It's like he teleports around the pitch

The high press would hugely suffer though

Arsenal will be the biggest test for me with their physicality at the back and midfield. This is the game where you need a big physical DM to win those battles in the middle of the pitch.

Low block, AMA working his magic. He is such a lovely player to watch at his best. Bona-fide world class.

United got a lot of praise on here for their transfer business this summer. They did a lot of "improving" all summer but look at them now.

I know it sounds benefit of hindsight but to be honest I'm not sure why they got so much praise in the first place.

Mazraoui looks solid but not that much of an upgrade to make a huge difference.
Zirkzee has potential but again hardly much difference to Hojlund.
De Ligt could come good but there's a reason both Juventus and Bayern were happy to sell.
Ugarte likewise, early days, but everyone knew he was limited on the ball even before he signed.

Yoro is really the only one I'm a bit jealous of, but all he is right now is potential.

I have managed to get a ticket for the Arsenal away game but can't say I'm looking forward to it that much, we have been well beaten on our last two league trips there. They are just so good defensively as well, I think it's going to be a struggle of a game.

I was there when we won in 2022 with Jota though so fingers crossed for a repeat.

I’ve just seen Slot say that we’ve not faced a top table team yet and it made me lol out loud.

Haha yeah, it's the way he says it while keeping a completely straight face which makes it particularly funny.

Should have gone with "Wazz hapn'n Ed?" while moving in with a clenched fist for a fist bump.

That game last season was petering out to a draw before vvd and allissons fack up. Throw in a konate sending off and that was that.

Theyll put us under the cosh early but we weathered it perfectly in the fa cup game there and looked to be through the worst of it in the league too. I think we'll do ok.
