The coloured managers that have come along haven't been very good.

I am not filled with any guilt actually. I want a fairer society for everyone because I believe it is a basic right for all human beings.

I am well aware of the issues we have as a society and believe we should work together to fix them. Not approach these issues with ignorance like you do which is pathetic.

It is refreshing to see that my suggestion that everyone should have a fair share offends you so much.

Now I wonder with the views you have, how you would react to a minority who applied for a job in your organisation.

He would get a fair crack, right?

If someones credentials are there i'd shortlist them, i wont be told "replace three white ones with blacks to make it fair" tho.

Blacks need to up their game, Indian kids in this country top A-Level results and usually have good jobs like doctors etc. And they started with the same advantages as black immigrants...but they are earning their way to the top.
Its the same in America, Jews, Italians, Irish, Poles, Mexicans, Puerto Ricans etc all came poor and faced discrimination but they have worked hard and got places while Blacks are still at bottom of the pile...is it racism or is it a cultural thing? They cant make excuses forever.

Surely the Rooney rule would annoy black managers? Imagine if utd, City and Chelsea all sacked their manager at the end of the season. We's all have Paul Ince on our shortlists but he would know full well he has no chance because he simply isn't good enough. there's no such thing as positive discrimination it's a joke.

Disagree? More like surprised you'd choose the term 'coloured person'
It's very outdated and loaded with racist connotations. I'd think twice about using that again.

It's funny how anything that might lead to change in our game is often vehemently opposed on here.

Anyway, it's working in America. It'd probably work here too.

Anyone else annoyed at the use of the word coloured?
There's a huge disparity between the amount of black players and the amount of black coaches especially in England, I don't see the problem if someone wants to ask why that is.

Counter racism is awful. Adding someone to a managerial shortlist because of their skin colour is downright wrong. You should be there on MERIT, not because you're in a minority.

posted on 1/10/14

I support the rule. It is true that white managers, however useless, have abetter shot than a non-white manager. Period.

What's wrong with coloured? Is it really any wore than saying black?

posted on 1/10/14

I couldn't give a Rats B- Hind

the whole rascism thing annoys me,

I loath racism, everyone should be treated equally black whit gay or whatever,

However, this CONSTANT racism debate over the tiny details, name calling, NO ENOUGH BLACK MANAGERS. etc is annoying and on some levels generates more so called "racist's."

Now its all about positive discrimination etc.

Coloured is dated, certainly not a PC term, black is what you should be saying.

I agree completely but how me and you believe people should be treated isn't reality.
