2/3rds of muscle damage is caused by the eccentric movmeent (negatives) and it's painful as fk so it has my seal of approval.

I know people say that pullovers are for both chest and back (and rotator cuffs and triceps and abs and multiple other muscles) but I really don't get anything in my chest at all. Everything in the glory region of upper lateral back and upper triceps.
And I also know that my chest has to be working as that's part of the muscle action for it. I just don't get a hit during or after from it.
Tbh tcdoubdledude (like the nickname or nah?), pullups is something i've never done. I normally stick with deadlifts, rows and pulldowns. Would pullups be something you'd especially recommend?
I feel pullovers all in my chest and not at all in my back. I reckon its the way you do them probably. When I first started doing them, I felt it mostly in my triceps actually now that I think about it.
If you're not doing them currently that's a good reason to add them in, at least temporarily. If you're light then weight yourself up or stick them into supersets. If you're heavier then they might just be brutal as fk by themselves.
Do you do full body, 2 part split, 3 part split or even more?
4 part split, back and traps on one day.
Holy shiiit you changed your name 😂
I used to do the full works on the split man. Even used to do my chest in the morning and triceps in the afternoon sometimes, shlt like that. I do love being in the gym but back then I was unemployed and just coasting. Now I gotta work around it so I usually get 5 big sessions a week. Helps being in a gym all day. 2-3 part for me. I kinda flip flop between the two. I think 80% of the time it's push - legs - pull - rest. But chest and back is such a nice workout. The supersets are so good.
Try changing your split too. Might help working more muscle at once. Better for t production.
Chest and back together? Shiiit, that would be tough. You must be exhausted by the end of that. And what do you mean "being in a gym all day"?
Yeah it's hard work, but if you have no other reason to try it, the pump by the end is awesome.
I'm a personal trainer.
Oh really, sweet. Even more reason to follow your advice I guess haha. Thanks for the help tcdoubledude 😀
Nah being a personal trainer is like having a frosties swimming badge on your towel. If you've got the desire for it, and the money to send off, and you read all the forms, it's yours. Pathetic qualification
And to remain a PT you have to collect more qualifications every year as CPD, which is again just jumping through hoops and can easily be achieved in a weekend or two.
Some of the training I see depresses me.
But I reckon that i'm shlt hot so yeah. I'm sure we're all slagging each other off. Or possibly it's just me and i'm a khunt.
Maybe that one.
Wow, just met this complete weirdo at the gym. So I was absentmindedly watching this guy in the mirror doing bicep curls while resting between sets when the guy glared at me and told me to stop looking at him. I laughed and kept watching him at which point he stopped exercising and angrily asked me if there was something wrong with me. I laughed and said "not as much as is wrong with you man." The guy then huffed and furrrked off to another part of the gym.
Just had to tell some weird little creep to fk off. Guy wouldn't stop staring at my pump while I squeezed out some epic curls.
I should have seen that coming XD
Tried chest and back yet?
Yesterday I did:
BB row -> pull ups
DB bench -> flys
weighted dips -> pull down
Low cable fly -> straight arm pushdown
All x4. 8-12 rep range.

Tcdoubledude and 4dude, sorry for the late replies. Was at uni doing a test.
Tcdoubledude, not yet. I figure ill try that out when i start getting bored of my current chest stuff. That workout sounds killer though. Hiw long does it take you to get through all that?
4dude, his form was pretty good. He seems like one of those guys thats mad dedicated to weight training which is why he must have been pizzed at me for distracting him I guess. and that dude you described sounds hilarious, wish there was someone like him at my gym.
