You missed out Wayne Biggins Mick
Oh and btw, Van Basten trumps them all.
Great pick Mick.
If we are going with stats....but skill wise
I'd have Villa over Shevchenko
In no order:
Ronaldo
Henry
Romario
Batistuta
Van Basten
Villa
Suarez
Shearer
Shevchenko
Van Nistelrooy / Larssen
Honourable mentions: Papin, Raul, Torres, Cole, Rooney, Drogba, Falcao, Aguero, Klinsmann.
Zlatan and Eto'o too. And Diego Tristan just because he, and that Depor side, were class for a while.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's on the bench with Van Vossen
Ronaldo
Van Basten (although by 90 he was facked)
Bobby Baggio (second striker a lot, but also played up top)
Henry
Bergkamp (another who went deeper with time)
Romario
Batistuta
Shevchenko
Raul
Eto'o/Kluivert/Shearer/Suarez/Weah/Stoichovic/Bebeto/Klinsmann/Vieri etc
18 DJ.
Why have a top ten when you can just list a top of the head.
Answer for everything DJ.
We can all pay that game.
C. Ronaldo at his peak was a great CF. Obviously Messi is still the best striker ever but C. Ronaldo should make any top ten list.
Earlier shouts of MVB are awful. He only played till '93, post '90s he was a shadow of his old self.

David Villa is in with a shout.

What a player. Between 2001 and 2011 he never scored less than 18 goals in a season, plus carrying the Spain strikeforce during their golden era.
My favourite Spanish player, more than Puyol, Xavi and Iniesta.

Won the Balon d'or in 92, FIFA player of the year in 92, in the Euros team of the tournament in 92, Serie A top scorer in 90 and 92, world player of the year in 92, UEFA player of the year in 90 and 92, Onze d'or in 92.
He did pretty well in 92, and rather well in 90.
How the hell did I forget Villa?

Did he? Record books show he was 'Worlds Top Scorer' in 92, UEFA cup top scorer in 93/94, 3 times Eredivisie top scorer, top scorer at Euro 92, double figures in each of his first 4 PL seasons.
Rvn was a better striker than most on these lists. He should be on everyone's list at around 5th.
Also due to his decline recently I think everyone is forgetting how good Rooney was. Easily better than the likes of Torres.
Everyone seems to be overlooking a certain Mr Mickey Quinn: not just a great footballer, but a fantastic pundit.
