I saw that, good for the American car worker but will add to the price of a new Ford.
What a shame we don't have anything to protect.
It's extremely likely that parliament will (unintentionally) delay A50 after the supreme court ruling, (due in a couple of weeks). In that before the government trigger a50 it will firstly be subject to parliamentary scrutiny.

The majority spoke, but that majority is split as to what to do next. Its a complete mess.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In fairness if you see the rhetoric that Trump has used towards General Motors the last few days. Basically saying if they manufacture in Mexico then expect huge trade tariffs. Ford have already cancelled a factory in Mexico as a result. We may be moving into an era of extreme trade protectionism. If that is the case the UK may need to just bend over in order to ensure they are part of the EU trade block.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is one policy of Trump's I think is good, he's trying to bring work back to the US, to cities that have been decimated by work being outsourced to SA / Asia for cheaper labour.

it will definitely create more job but It is still a big gamble though and it might not work in the long term.
The cost of raw materials will not decrease so with labour cost increasing (you'd expect US labour to be much higher), manufacturers marging wil be squeezed. They will have to increase their selling prices or they won't survive (there's a reason they have outsourced those in the first place).
It'd be ok if it was luxury commodities as people tend to be happy to pay over the odds for those.
But I doubt your normal family will be happy to see the price of their car increase dramatically.
In order to keep prices lower they will need all sorts of incentives from central government including tax breaks, and more protectionist measures against imported vehicles.
If the UK leaves the SM and customs union, tarriffs (10%) will only be a fraction of additional (vehicle) costs.
Production and manufacturing costs will increase immeasurably. As goods (parts etc) are not exclusively made in the UK.
Lowering duty/taxes (as it appears this is the government's intention) is in complete contrast to the way the EU is going (tax conformity). Which only makes a FTA agreement that much more difficult.

You know nothing ........ try going to some of these countries and see if the poor are happy you clown
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So how many of these countries have you been to then?
How many 'poor people' did you manage to converse with, and how did you identify them as poor?
Did you ascertain degrees of happiness empirically or anecdotally?

A "clown" who has actually researched the topic. As opposed to someone who has no clue...
As an EU member, the UK has FTA's with 58 countries around the globe. As well as the E27.
Do you have any idea how long, and at what cost, it will take (if even possible) the UK to reforge those agreements?
And furthermore, how the UK can renegotiate without similar immigration arrangements?
The government doesn't.

Why do you think the rich are getting richer and the poor poorer you clown

I've bee to Croatia on holiday about 2 years ago. Was the purpose of your visit different? (Split and Hvar are beautiful btw)
How could you tell anything about people's happiness based on a short visit, and how did you identify them as 'poor'?
Yep the rich are getting richer, and poor getting poorer. Aren't the EU looking to curtail tax evasion in member countries? The recent example of Ireland springs to mind. It's the local government looking to stop it.

Have a look at votewatch EU. It lists MEP voting history etc. The number of UK MEPs that have continually voted against EU tax reforms, (fraud prevention) is staggering.

Exactly, but according to some it's all the EU's fault.
Where did weare go with his tales of travails across Europe getting the measure of the socio-economic climate and research on poor people?
