TBH I am not that interested in the complaints of people in N. Ireland or Scotland regarding us leaving the EU (that is to say from the angle of we didn't vote for it) if they really wanted it both areas could have really made a difference by returning very strong remain votes.

England has a huge population but the vote was close enough that other areas could have made the difference.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Northern Ireland could have voted 100% remain and vote would have been the same.

We have no say, nor control of how our future will be shaped. Our, (much like the mainland) agri industry will be pretty much destroyed.

In fairness my comment does only work if you are grouped with Scotland but quite frankly the vote should have been a landslide in N. Ireland the fact it was as close as it was gives less room for complaining.

Maybe no time for complaints was taking it to far but it's not as if Scotland and N Ireland got dragged along completely against their will, lots of people in both helped make the leave vote happen...

Of course my own stomping ground Wales derserves far more of the blame but I was hoping you enlightened folks would drag us through...

I'm sure some of you already seen this but to me, this is the perfect example on how people were either misinformed or just stupid (your pick)

I think the port Talbot/cheap Chinese steel thing was a major factor in the welsh leave vote. The Eu getting 100% blame for succesive uk govts running down our heavy industries in favour of the financial sector.

That and the fact their brains are addled from all the sheep bothering...joke!

There were eight motions in the EU parliament in 2014 (alone) to protect against steel imports.

Farage (amongst other UK MEP's) didn't attend a single debate, nor vote.

http://www.votewatch.eu/en/term8-steel-sector-in-the-eu-protecting-workers-and-industries-joint-motion-for-resolution-paragraph-8-ame.html

Like countess other motions, the EU were blamed, rather our own elected representatives.

I was active in the Ulster Independence Movement, but we never got enough support from our countrymen....so, we are full UK citizens and accept leave.
As stated earlier, I hope NI and Eire work closer after brexit.
You never would have heard a loyalist such as me saying that a while back☺

Every aspect of the NI economy relies on our relationship with the UK, the EU, and ROI.

The ROI as an EU member will have to comply with EU regulations, directives thus making essential cross boarder trade more difficult. It could well be more cost effective for the ROI to increase exports to the E27 than us going forward.

The UK government answer to their electorate. Guess what, that's not us. Westminster aid just got considerably smaller as many UK constituencies will take preference. With a smaller public purse, this will only be magnified here.

Then in 2020, all EU bloc grants and subsidies: (departure from the Common Agricultural Policy) disappear.

There are no contingency plans.

So regardless of political persuasion, Brexit is not something anyone from the province can look forward to with any optimism.

In all seriousness Brexit will have some impact to the PL.

FIFA rules prevents the movement of players under 18. However the EU has an exception that sanctions movement at 16. Therefore the PL will no longer be able to acquire the top youth (u18's) from across the world.

Some may argue this might assist young British players

Post brexit all non-UK players will more than likely require work permits, which could make transfers much more complicated.

British players, probably but not British clubs, as the best young players from the rest of the world will be based elsewhere.
