On the flip side, every time an attack happens to keep saying Islam is peaceful, not all Muslims are terrorists, light some candles and do vigils has led to more attacks and more hostility towards Muslims anyway. our wars have contributed to this mess so it's not about blaming muslims, just there never seems be any debate about solutions or how do we stop things getting blown up. That's why people responded to trump because he came along and said these are the problems, this is how I'm gonna fix it.

Yeah, but it is still very strategic from him and aim at only getting (more?) popular.
He hasn't mentioned guns control at all depsite the fact that there are far more US citizen killed by "their" own civilians than by muslims terrorists.

There's loads of other Muslim countries, not just in the middle east but Malaysia, indonesia. The ban is on refugees, and other citizens will get vetted. But the same people won't say a word about super wealthy Muslim nations who won't take refugees from their neighbouring countries.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you know why, for example, Saudi Arabia is seen as not helping Syrian refugees?

Because the Saudis don't class them as refugees. Syrians are given free education and healthcare by Saudi

I am no fan of the Saudis but the myth that non one helps but Britain is BS. They just don't label them refugees rather calling them "our brothers and sisters"

Fair enough, but I read a while back refugees in some gulf states are living in camps in bad conditions and not given proper rights. Anyway it is sad that there is little desire to take refugees over here but imo it's just anger at being told to be compassionate by the same clowns who caused this mess by intervening in Libya, instead of not caring about suffering people.

America is crazy, talking about gun control would be suicide for Republicans. I get what you mean cos there's probably more chance getting run over then killed in a bomb attack. Just saying these attacks are more regular now, and the more it happens it will continue to divide people.

I'm not even sure that they are tbh. At least not on Europe soil (or US for that matter). It might not be the case in Asia/middle East though.
They are just more reported because of the accessibility of information.

I remember after the Berlin attacks Farage (true to form) blamed the Schengen area as the reason why terrorists had "free reign" to rampage across Europe.

His claims were debunked, (think it might have been Europol).

It was also highlighted that due to the data sharing intelligence etc implemented throughout Europe, that terrorist attacks had significantly decreased/been prevented.

5 mass killings in the last two years in Europe, there was 16 years before the 5 before that...

Not suggesting it's not a problem but the stats show terrorist attacks in Europe between 2000 & 2016 were significantly less than the years before.

Attacks by islamist groups in Europe are recent.....some by Muslims living in the west and others by refugee and and asylum seekers.
Some European converts to Islam also help the Isis cause in the west.
America is right to curtail islamist terrorists.

Odd logic ....saying mass movements of Muslim People into the Eu does not provide Isis with a base and recruits, and sadly, having a pop at Ukip or Trump does nothing to address global jihadist extremism.

Good to see our British and North American bonds are back on, after anti-brit Obama left........the man who armed the Saudi's to bomb Yemen, messed up in North Africa and the middle east, and tried to push us to the back of the queue.

By the way hec, not sure many refugees and migrants are moving west from Saudi Arabia.Sadly, money and oil rule, so like Obama, we may treat those fanatical islamists more favourably????

Isis and friends.....you must have heard about them?Love butchering gay folk, stoning women to death, beheading Christians and killing rival Muslims.

I think curtailing islamist extremism is jolly sensible.

Not just Obama to be fair. Bush, Clinton, Bush senior etc etc, and the current incumbent. You could say it's a US governmental policy.

One in the eye for remain luvvies saying we are doomed, when American leader is on our page😁

New relationship with Russia too, and no more wars to sort Muslim states out.

March for life in America today also, as the pro- life men and women walked in Washington ..people who were banned from the Woman's march last weekend.

Happy days.

Of course, bush and bill too,,but my point is, Trump is not going down that foreign war tragedy, and neither will the UK, per May..... That was pushed by ukip too,,BTW.
Obama got it easy, doing what other leaders did, but getting god press from the same media who are Objective.lol.

You're naive if you don't think the US are gong to pull our kecks down on the trade deal. It's going to be all about what they can sell to us and not the other way round. This new found trust for Russia is also amusing.

Have you got any evidence people were banned from the Women's march the other day?

Hec and others wonder why Saudi Arabia was not on the list of potentially dangerous migrants, linked to Isis etc.

I asked why Trump wasn't banning visas from Saudi Arabia, as he is doing with Syria, Iran, Iraq, Libya et al, earlier?

The biggest terrorist attack on US soil, with the biggest loss of life, was perpetrated by Saudi's.

Did you get the chance to read any of the posts, which debunked the misconstrued notion that the UK will be in a position to negotiate FTA's any time soon?

Or the various links etc I had provided demonstrating how bad brexit is, and will be for NI?
