Could have just said 'love it when migrant kids do well', the rest is what makes it sound racist.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed, redin may not have meant to, but it sounded like whites hit my dad, now I like to see whites in poverty, and blacks succeed?
Like all, I condemn racism and the attack on his dad!
In case I am misunderstood again.

No that's doesn't. He clearly says, and I'll put the boy you missed in caps;
"THOSE DIRECTING ENERGIES AGAINST MIGRANTS will forever be poor bstards that were too lazy to get off their ass and move to better themselves preferring to take the easy option to blame someone else"
Namely those who attack/attacked people like his Dad. Where does that extrapolate to 'whites'?

Ahead of the upcoming budget, local councils are starting to find out the government's funding commitments post Brexit.
Currently Cornwall receives £60m per year from the EU. The government have offered £6m a year (£18m payment over three years).
With similar funding packages being/to be announced across UK councils. Most of which have already been under funded and stretched for years.
The government's own wealth figures (was discussed on Andrew Marr this morning) demonstrated the inequality between the rich, (circa 14% increase in wealth) and the poor (4% decrease) will hit levels last seen in the 80's over the next few years.
Yet support for Brexit amongst the 'working class' remains high.

Was he referring to black or Asian people?
I take it redin was having a pop at people worried about mass demographic change here.
If he was just focusing on the skinhead attacking his dad, that is understandable, but redin generalized his post to scatter gun, "those directing energy against migrants". whatever that means.????
Labour, Merkel are now directing energy towards the migrant issue now, with Germany clamping down on and deporting g migrants!
Obama deported 2.5 million migrants.....see what I mean.
TBAB
He, from my reading of his comment, was referencing those who are racist towards immigrants (based on the experience of himself & his Dad) and those who blame immigration for their own woes, be that employment based or socially. RITH didn't even mention colour of skin in his comment.
It's amazing how someone recalling the racism experienced by his Dad can then be accused of being a racist himself. I thought us 'lefties' were meant to be snowflakes.
TBAB
So maybe you could outline the benefits of Brexit?
From all the information available, and given the government's intentions, coupled with business/industry requirements, it's a matter of discussing the least damaging outcome.

We are still in the EU paying contributions, so all these areas will still get funding. what does 2017 budget have anything to do with that Everyone who voted leave knew it's a risk and won't be plain sailing or instantly better, but all forecasts after and better than pre brexit predictions.

The UK council funding packages are post 2020. Ie when EU bloc grants etc finish.
Funding aside fintech and pharma industries have already committed to remaining in the SM. Especially in regard to pharmaceutical companies whom are regulatory required to manufacture within the SM.
They don't want to leave the UK but have no other choice

Yes indigenous folk that had all the opportunities afforded them, yet are out done by migrants, and then blame immigration - some of these migrants have travelled thousands of miles.
If a migrant can make a success of themselves, there is no excuse for the majority of the "poor working class" that were born in Britain and who may be part of families with many generations in Britain.

Well then his comment wasn't aimed at you was it. It was aimed at people who blame migrants for their own failings. Not a particular race. Don't see how you interpreted racism in RITH's comment.

It is not about it being aimed at me. It just struck me as a post that revels in division. 8bit also noticed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Does that make it racist as suggested by yourself, TBAB and 8Bit?
If someone had experienced racism, first or second hand, what attitude would you prefer they had? One of 'I'll show you by being the best I can be, and better than you' or one that involves violence and retaliation?

Why do you love it when migrants are doing better? Why does it matter if someone is a migrant or native? Don't we all want to succeed? 'Loving it' when people fail is not a great trait. I just don't see what the difference should be based on immigration status.
-----------------
I didn't say loving it when people fail, those are your words certainly not mine.
Why do I love it when migrants succeed, and surpass people that have been here for generations? Here's a few reasons..
- They had to invoke a massive change in their personal circumstances, sometimes from adversity
- They would face discrimination, in some form
- They have far less advantages than those having been here for generations
- It just shows what people can achieve if they work hard
- Shows up people that blame immigration for their woes
Just Shoot
"But, never and I mean NEVER, should we as humans, favour on colour, creed, nationality, immigration status, religion or whatever, over another on the basis of just those listed"
Where in RITH's comment did he do any of the above?

Didn't care a hoot about their race. In fact I asked one of them "who is (name)" they didn't even know the term, just described with 'kind of this colour with hair that's like this' - (in a totally innocent way.)
I was made up that they didn't see or refer to race. Who knows what will happen through Brexit.. it is divisive that's for sure.
