So whats good about the canada deal if they arent getting access?
So one rule for one country one for another because we are closer? seems abit dodgy, almost like they are trying to force us into something..

The poor people of this country might get better looked after
....................................
Any deluded idiot who thought Brexit (which means less money) would somehow mean more money for the poor deserves everything that's coming..
Not that the rest of it is particularly accurate but that bit stood out, no EU just the tories now, of course poor people, hospitals and schools are the priority...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
it's not just Brexit, Trump winning in the US gives it a different context now, a rejection of failed policies and a new political and economic direction.

so why dont canada have to agree to free movement? there deal seems to have nothing to with migration.. why does ours have to?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
no logical reason, just if they agree to that with us then the rest of the countries will want it too and their EU project will fall apart.

Trump winning in the US isn't going to dramatically change decades of UK government policy, we will continue much the same just with a smaller pie to share out of.
Whose going to cover the shortfall?
Not the rich, Tory (and basically Labour) economic policy revolves around the wealthy being job/wealth creators by helping them make more money so they invest more money...
So it'll have to be the middle classes and a little bit from the poor.
Of course this is just the short/medium term...
Who knows in 20 years time thanks to the economic hardship Brexit forces us into we might discover special pixie dust which we wouldn't have otherwise discovered and become even richer all thanks to Brexit....
United states of Europe or is it the EUSSR, which do you think they prefer?
If the EU wants to be unreasonable people will become more disillusioned with politicians which plays into the hands of the populist parties... if Le Pen wins in France then that's the final nail in the coffin of the EU.

Trump is a hard one to judge. As far as the UK is concerned, is he going to be Trump the candidate, or have a softer approach.
While he has ties to the UK, reaching a FTA with the US could now be extremely challenging.
Not at least because he appears to be against FTA’s (states the US will pull out of TTP on day he comes to office). Which ironically hands it to China on a silver platter. But also because the UK and the US have so many diverse regulatory requirements. The main reason TTIP looks like failing.

the middle and working class has already been screwed over, the middle class is just shrinking all over the EU and US. How is it any different? it's happened because our economic system is a failure. People voted out for the long term, saying how bad things will get in the short term doesn't make any difference.
I'm not sure being in or out of Europe will make a blind bit of difference to that, in fact it'll probably make it worse.

He's backtracked on a lot of things he said in the campaign, he just did what he needed to do to get elected but he comes across better now. He's not a fan of the EU so he'll make sure we have close ties, we have similar living standard to US so free trade between us will benefit both of us.

Exactly!
Even the supporters agree it will make things worse in the short to medium term.
So to be better in the long term it would not only have to catch up with this shortfall but overtake.
What is this magic thing that is suddenly going to happen to us that not only makes up for the loss we are inevitably going to suffer but outstrips it?!
Magic pixie dust, that's all I can come up with.
The idea that the EU isn't making trade deals with other countries or we are somehow going to make much better ones that make up for the loss of trading with the EU is pure fantasy spouted by those with no clue of the actual realities of these things.
