Without knowing the situation I wonder if this was a regular thing or a one off? Did she ask the coach to stop or say nothing to them at the time? I’d like to think two adults could have settled this between them with a simple don’t speak to me like that again

The FA covered up and then tried to blackmail Aluko after being ostracised from the squad. It's not like she didn't go through the right channels.

Most of this is coming out now because the FA don't have an adequate grievance process.
They brought in an independent lawyer to investigate the case when it was reported, who then totally failed to interview any of the witnesses and as a consequence found there was no case to answer.
The investigation was re-opened when other evidence came to light concerning the fact that the coach had previous which wasn't picked up on before he was given the job (or it was ignored by the FA). He was then sacked, and the FA had to issue an apology.
If the FA had actually had a system in place for her grievance to be heard then we probably wouldn't be hearing all the details now.
Oh and yes, the Caribbean accent thing is racist. The poor girl may be black but she's of Nigerian descent, not Caribbean so it was purely based on her skin colour.

Ok. You're just spouting complete and utter nonsense now. Contrary to your belief that it happens in every work place, it doesn't. It really is that simple. Attitudes like that were made illegal in the workplace many years ago.
I run a number of businesses and I can guarantee you that if any single one of my staff or indeed I acted like that there would be a serious investigation at the very least.
You just can't behave like that whether you think it's banter or not. Ignorance is no excuse whatsoever and all companies will employ a zero tolerance to this kind of stuff.
