150 Ukrainians in Calais refused entry to UK, French calling us inhumane, hard to disagree.
No doubt it'll get blamed on some bureaucratic twaddle but imo its ideological, if they make an exception for Ukraine then they have to for Syrians, Afghani"s, Libyans etc.

More and more reports coming out about Russian logistical disasters now, with the Ukrainians targeting trucks and supply vehicles.
They’re in real danger of leaving troops stranded in Ukraine with no ammo, food or fuel by the sounds of things.
We’ll learn more in the days to come no doubt, but it’s looking like a complete and utter dogshow strategically and tactically on the Russians’ part at the moment. Which is ridiculous considering the time they had to prepare.

Some of those videos are incredibly hard to watch, especially bodies hanging out of tanks, chunks of human strewn across the road etc.

But even then Hec per the link above from New Statesman it is a majority of not just the country but also of Tory supporters who support greater taking in of Ukrainian refugees. It seems to be such a minority view.

Is it though? I'd like to believe the vast majority of citizens here regardless of politics want to help, but my faith in who we are, who we are becoming is questioning our national morality. We used to be decent, I don't think we are as much anymore.
