Claw.
Decent snack but couldn't lace the boots of Frazzles.

Frazzles repeat too much.
But back to monster munch I give you the following theory:

I don't quite understand Johnson's energy plan that he's now proposing.
He seems to be planning to drill out every last drop out of the North Sea in record time, then a heavy shift to renewables.
Two things:
1. how does taking out and using every last drop of oil from the north sea fit with climate goals.
2. and most importantly, my understanding is that licences are granted for oil exploration/drilling to private companies and then they are free to sell that oil to the highest bidder. How does that help us? Are they going to make the oil companies sell it to the UK? Will the oil companies go along with that? Why would they, particularly given the well-documented cost of exploiting the remaining fields (it was certainly well-documented in the independence referendum).
The plan seems to have fairly significant flaws.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's rank stupidity.
The issue is though, we need oil from somewhere rapidly..
I'd prefer we kept our reserves in the ground, but we are running out of options. My only criticism is that we should be ramping up renewables NOW to ensure we extract the minimum necessary.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I broadly agree with Insert
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I sense a great disturbance in the force….
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Insert is pretty sound on energy stuff - aside from franking I have no real disagreements with him over energy policy. Vast ramp up in renewables is essential to our future. Its amazing how free market economists fail to recognise the opportunity in a green revolution to be honest.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will address British MPs on Tuesday via video link, the Speaker of the House of Commons has announced.

And

Great news.
Another one to watch out for North of the border is vanadium battery projects. I am very optimistic and several secured BEIS funding for trials in Scotland .
One note of alarm - wheat prices.
Gets missed in the oil, gas and gold chat.
But we are at record wheat prices in the UK
This will hit beer, pizza, bread, pasta and hospitality generally plus could even see premiums in supermarkets.
Actual supplies are secure for us but markets are global and Ukraine invasion has hit indexes in France, UK and US
Also learned Commerzbank havea wheat expert
Something very German about that lol

I broadly agree with Insert

I sense a great disturbance in the force….

Insert is pretty sound on energy stuff - aside from franking I have no real disagreements with him over energy policy. Vast ramp up in renewables is essential to our future. Its amazing how free market economists fail to recognise the opportunity in a green revolution to be honest.

And
Power roll have now opened their pilot production facility in the north east, which should start producing product soon.
