One note of alarm - wheat prices.
Gets missed in the oil, gas and gold chat.
But we are at record wheat prices in the UK
This will hit beer, pizza, bread, pasta and hospitality generally plus could even see premiums in supermarkets.
Actual supplies are secure for us but markets are global and Ukraine invasion has hit indexes in France, UK and US
Also learned Commerzbank havea wheat expert
Something very German about that lol

Very weize of them.
Ukraine is a breadbasket produces enough food for 600 million.
I swear every day fuel price goes up like 2 or 3p a litre
Haven't seen nothing yet mate.
Several investment analysts predicting oil could hit $200 per barrel if Europe cuts off Russian oil and gas.
It's a big IF but we could be talking £2 a litre.
It’s getting there for sure. I’m starting to look at an electric car before it all gets out of hand.
Had to go check the stat, but there is enough commercial roofspace in the UK for 100 gigawatts of solar roll film. Equivalent of 20,000 solar farms.
Don't think politicians have prepared public well enough for consequences if this conflict drags on with the sanctions still in place.
Winter is going to be a nightmare and I think we need your be on a war footing when it comes to energy usage

*Most of which has been unsuitable for existing solar technology due to the weight.
Considering they can "print" this stuff off in huge rolls even at 12% efficiency it's a gamechanger.
We will need mass hydrogen base storage then imo.
Germany said today they can’t afford to cut off Russian gas or most of their citizens would pretty much freeze to death

They are trying - none of its especially green, mind you - aiming to build LNG terminals, not ruling out coal power, gas deals with Qatar, Azerbaijan and Norway...

Probably why they are targeting commercial units and electric vehicles first
That said I don't see many people objecting a huge amount, imagine it will see a lot of use on things like garden sheds as a replacement for felt..
