I do find myself using Spotify a lot. But then again a I buy a lot of records and support artists by going to gigs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For my sins, after binning off Spotify (for various reasons, including offering a platform to dangerous waaankers), I signed up to Apple Music.
They pay artists a lot better than Spotify and Amazon apparently, and I've found their 'if you like blah, then you'll love blahblah' algorithm much, much more successful than Spotify's, which was recommending to me all kinds of utter tripe. (Like even worse stuff than the bog standard tripe I usually listen to.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have been considering Tidal recently for the better music quality.
I do not use the Spotify algorithms much to find new music really. I usually listen to just the albums I like and then create playlists. For new music I use Reddit, RateYourMusic and YouTube.
It will be a shame if I move on from Spotify, as I have been with them from the beginning pretty much. However, its pretty senseless to be loyal to a brand really. And there are so many competitors now out there really.

I don’t actively use the Apple Music algorithm either, really. It just kicks in automatically when your album or playlist ends, and tends to do a decent job in my experience.
I’ve actually rediscovered a couple of bands that I’d enjoyed previously (pre-Apple Music), but managed to completely forget about courtesy of the algo.
Losing access to Spotify playlists, both my own and those of others, hurt for a few days. But creating new ones is always fun anyway

Studies have shown pretty conclusively that:
- On high speed (inter-urban) roads, lower speed limits lead to (significantly) lower emissions
- On low speed (urban) roads, lower speed limits have no net positive or negative impacts on emissions. They do, however, make roads safer for all users: drivers, passengers, cyclists and pedestrians.
