The problem is that I understand too well and feel a bit silly for still feeding you with something you can not do yourself: sensible talk.

I have binned your 'points' with sound arguments. Overall, VVD has been excellent for Liverpool and improved the players around him in general:

Karius seems more secure and feels more comfortable coming out

VVD and Robertson seem to click well on the left side: Andy can now make penetrating runs due to Virgil passing and has been one of our best players.

Apart from his usual brainfart, Lovren looked more assured. The Porto match is a good example.

Matip didn't look as good as Karius or Robertson or even Lovren, but I think this is due to his limited talent.

Preliminary conclusion: Van Dijk's influence has been significant. The defense has looked less vulnerable, especially against high balls and the added bonus is that his dangerous passing is a bonus that could prove vital against compact teams.
